I'm Iano. I'm so glad I found this site as I grew up with retro game mags! I'm big into just about any kind of gaming, but don't have anywhere the time I'd like for it anymore. Sometimes I spend hours looking at retro gaming stuff on eBay for fun, if I started buying it I probably wouldn't stop.

Good read. It's a shame that we're entering an era of games that will be more difficult is not impossible to properly preserve. When the discs ship with a 2 month old build and the day one patches are 10+ gig we're banking heavily on the publisher to produce a platinum hits, etc. down the road that is complete. It's a shame we don't have someone like GOG that can step in on the console side /w DRM-free releases.

We've got a small arcade in Austin, TX that is pretty cool (http://arcadeufo.com/). For some reason they removed the game list from the site (it was outdated anyway). They are more focused on the fighting game scene, but they've got a nice mix of older titles (TMNT, etc.) in there as well.

I kinda like this approach, I think I could deal with the virtual buttons as long as I had physical movement which this provides. Seems like a good compromise and its neat how they "wrap" the screen around the physical controls.

Growing up our libraries always had a good collection of Nintendo Power, GamePro, and EGM. Not having a lot of money this is where I typically read them, that and the grocery stores.

I recently played through Dark Forces again, such a great game, need to start up Jedi Knight next! GOG.com takes my money.

Bouncing around between a few, but the main is Fallout 4. I keep picking at the FFX PS4 remaster as well. My % complete ratio is far too small!

Totally forgot about PS Underground. I don't think I ever owned any but my buddy had them all.

I don't know why but I always remember Crystal Pepsi having a cinnamon-like flavor to it.

I recall my favorites being Frogger and Stampede. I was also partial to Journey because of the awesome soundtrack.
