    I used to play Syphon Filter to death back in the day and completed all three of the games in the series. Then I tried playing it again a while back on a Playstation emulator and it boggled my mind that I could ever put up with its control scheme without throwing the gamepad through my television screen. I recall that the game used to be a little frustrating in spots due to snipers and checkpoints, but holy cow, much older me doesn't have nearly enough free time to put up with that kind of thing anymore haha

    I couldn't agree with you more. I used to buy these types of magazines by the dozen, even for systems I didn't own because the writing was just so good. These days I can't even get through a review for a game I WANT to purchase because of how poorly it is written.
