There are 2 iterations of the PSP cable, a composite and component. If I recall correctly, in order to have higher resolution gameplay on your TV, you need to have the component cable.

Thanks for sharing! The SNES list (yes I know all lists are like this are inherently subjective) surprised me somewhat with having Mega Man & Bass rated higher than Mega Man X. Also, I love Street Fighter II iterations but to have Turbo ranked 4th on the list, higher than Super Mario World, Mario Kart or Final Fantasy VI seems like heresy to me. and yes, that is my subjective response

If you sit back and can watch someone else play it through once, it really is not that tough of a game. I know that, as a kid, it was a pretty daunting challenge but given some time and even just a little patience and learning the maze of 8-4, you'll gnab the princess before you know it.

I would also agree that the humor definitely adds to the article. The part about the birds and Ninja Gaiden III I found especially hilarious. I haven't played through many of those games (and with good reason seemingly). I was not shocked to see Solomon's Key at #1. I love it's follow up, Fire 'n Ice, as the difficulty curve is much more manageable.

I actually did play through the GBA version and you're right there were a number of additions. They added 4 additional espers, 2 new dungeons (1 being a Dragon-based one where all dragons have been upped to Level 99, crazy hard!) Sound is still wonderful on the SNES and it holds up well. I mentioned the PSP remake as I was hoping that it is a game that would have been interesting to see from that perspective.

I know I was hoping that the PSP for example would've pushed out a Final Fantasy VI release. Just about every one of the first 6 Final Fantasy's has been repackaged one or more times it seems in the last decade or so, so I guess I'm numb to it.
