  1. This is AWESOME!!! I've been looking into creating some Duke levels, and this is immensely useful, THANK YOU!!!!!
  2. Hey all, With the official announcement of the death of E3 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo), the once premiere industry event for showcasing all the newest games and gaming hardware, I wanted to see if the community has any memories of the Expo, be it attending in person, reading about it, watching videos about it. Bonus points if you have any brochures, exhibit guides, or anything that could be uploaded to the site to chronicle the event in all its glory. For my part, I never got to attend, but I remember subscribing to PlayStation Underground CDs (I still have them) and watching videos about the event, all the previews of new games, and even how the event was set up. Like many of you here, I poured over GamePro and EGM with their special pieces on the event each year, catching glimpses of screenshots from upcoming games. I eventually studied computer science in the hopes of becoming a game dev, my lifelong dream to be up on stage at E3 presenting my creation. Unfortunately those dreams never materialized and were finally dashed today, but I hope that the memories of others, whether they be in the form of magazines on this site, videos, or anything else continue to persist for years to come. The pageantry and spectacle will be missed.
  3. When I click on "download this file", it takes me to the Jan 1, 1993 issue (211, I believe), instead of this one.
  4. Alternatively, you can just use 7zip to extract the downloaded file (as .cbz stands for "comic book zip" and is nothing more than a fancy extension for a .zip file) into a folder containing .jpg images. Then you can peruse them, image-by-image with whatever your OS image viewer is. Or...what I do is I combine the images in adobe acrobat to make these into pdfs, which are easier to view across multiple platforms without the need for specialized viewers.
  5. I believe this is the February issue, but it's been mislabeled as "November"
  6. I love old mags whose cover subject game was never released
  7. 1998 complete, achievement unlocked! (except there were no system-wide "achievements" yet in 1998)
  8. If it's a signal for Frank Cifaldi, it's good enough for me! Thank you for the response, keep up the great work
  9. FWIW, I always check here first, because you guys have the most superior version of scans. So many IA magazines look absolutely terrible, they're a last resort for me. So no worries
  10. Thank you so much, kitsunebi! That's exactly what I was curious about, I greatly appreciate the explanation. Thank you all for keeping up the site
  11. Thanks for clearing that up, I appreciate it!
  12. I understand that, and I'm as patient as can be, and I do not want this to seem like a complaint about it taking too long. My question/issue is with the listed status of those magazines: if they aren't in the current queue (which they aren't on this thread you linked), why is their status reported as "scanning" or "editing" in the database if the magazines have not reached that step in the process yet? It's not merely a semantic thing, because someone who may have those issues and the capacity for high-quality scanning might see the label and refrain from doing the work to scan and upload those because they believe someone is actively processing those specific issues as we speak. I'm sure E-Day would appreciate the help too if someone could do that given the current workload. It's also not as if those status labels have been recently changed to "scanning", as I've been coming back for months and months to see if there has been any change, but there has not been, which leads me to believe that they have not in fact reached that step of the process. Is there no way to change the status label to accurately reflect what step they are in the process? Maybe "obtained" or "discovered" or something?
