  1. Does the torrent only contain magazines and stategy guides that were published between 2005-2020 or does it contain those things published at any time that were added to Retromags between 2005-2020?
  2. I've actually disabled the spam filter on my Gmail account so there's no chance it went to spam. I never got that email you mentioned.
  3. Has anyone here donated to the OldGameMags site so they could get an account? I donated a few months ago when it was called Kiwis.World and I got an account and was able to access the downloads but recently when I tried to login to the OldGameMags site it won't recognize my login details. When I click on the forgot password link and enter my email address it says my email address is invalid. Emailed the owner but got no reply.
  4. It's not really a 4:3 device though is it? I assume it's 16:9 but you can hold it vertically and then the aspect ratio changes to 4:3? Would any 13 inch tablet do the job or is there something special about that iPad? What about this: Hannspree Hannspad 133 Titan 2 16GB Rockchip 2048 MB Android (13.3 inch) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hannspree-Hannspad-Titan-Rockchip-Android/dp/B01CO6RCFI/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1552538661&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A2748842031&s=computers&sr=1-1 It's £198. Is there a specific display technology I should be looking for in a tablet which makes reading PDFs easier on the eyes? Is that iPad also good for reading strategy guides?
  5. I was planning on opening a non-profit gaming place where people can play games and read old magazines. I don't think it's a good idea to leave the magazines unprotected. I don't want the pages getting ripped. What about A4 plastic wallets?: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Westfolio-DKPPA3-Display-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00XJDN11U/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=a3+plastic+wallets&qid=1552506493&s=officeproduct&sr=1-6
  6. What's the best way to view PDFs of magazines on a PC? I ask because most magazines don't look good at the default fit-to-page zoom. You have to zoom in 2-3 times for it to be comfortable to read such as Edge issue 34 (July 1996) page 7 for example. Also some fonts are just ugly, are they really that ugly to read in the physical magazines and they just don't look good on a PC? Would a 4K monitor make reading easier because you don't have to zoom in? Are magazines even worse to read on a tablet such as an iPad?
  7. If laminating is bad then what alternatives to laminating are there?
  8. Obviously magazines are just going to degrade over time and every time a page is physically touched, it gets damaged. Has anybody laminated their magazines? How did you do it? Is there a laminating machine you can recommend and what laminates do you buy to refill the machine? I'm thinking I can use a guillotine to cut the spine off a magazine. Then I will laminate each page one by one in the laminating machine then I will put each page in a binder. Are there any museums such as the Centre for Computing History that have magazines on display that you can read? How do they preserve them?
