Awesome, thank you!
I have a folder with scans of the covers of the first 100 issues; if somebody could explain to me how to get them into the database, I'd be happy to fill in the blanks.

I was the editor in chief of Tips & Tricks; I worked on every issue! I brought home at least one or two copies every month - not just as a memento, but also because my son enjoyed reading it. When the magazine folded, I grabbed a few boxes of back issues from the office and brought them home. I also had my dad on the complimentary subscription list for almost the entire 150-issue run, and I recently reacquired almost all of the magazines I sent him over the years, because they were sitting there in a box and my mom wanted to get them out of their house.
And somehow, despite all that, I currently don't have a copy of the July 2000 issue (#65). I have no idea why. (Last night I discovered that #90 is also missing, but I'm pretty sure I have a copy of that one around here somewhere, because I remember looking at the Urban Yeti strategy guide a couple months ago. )
If you're willing to send me just that one issue, I can Paypal you some $$. Let me know!

Oooh! Could I please cherry-pick the July 2000 issue from that stack? It's the only one I'm missing.

It was Tips & Tricks issue #29, the July 1997 issue with Tekken 3 on the cover.

Sorry to disappoint, but there was no "all Pencil Puzzles" issue. We stopped doing the puzzles around 2005 because we no longer had that newsprint section in the middle of the magazine, and the puzzles didn't work on the glossy pages.
We did bring the puzzles back in the Tips & Tricks Codebook after the monthly Tips & Tricks was discontinued in 2007, because the Codebook was almost entirely newsprint. After that, they appeared in every subsequent issue until the last one came out in 2011. Come to think of it, there may have been one issue with more puzzles than usual - like eight or ten of them instead of the usual two or four, I can't remember exactly. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

I am. I also worked on VideoGames & Computer Entertainment and its unfortunate follow-up VideoGames, as well as TurboPlay and a little bit on Ultimate Gamer.
I appreciate the effort in trying to separate Tips & Tricks from Tips & Tricks Codebook in your database. Most people don't seem to be aware that they were two different magazines with different ISBN numbers and everything.

I worked on every issue of Tips & Tricks. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

Thanks for scanning these. FYI, this file has page 10 from issue 140 instead of the proper page 10 from issue 137.
