As someone who first played Doom on PS1, yeah, it's weirdly great on a gamepad. Only having to turn and walk make mouse aiming a non-issue, so it's the perfect kind of shooter to have on a console!
I *was* playing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon the other day, but my Everdrive battery died and it wiped my save. I think I might be up to restarting it, I was only a few hours in anyway but IT STINGS SO BAD.
It was partially my fault for ignoring the dead battery warning, but in my defense the warning only says it'll impact the RTC so I didn't think to wait and replace the battery before loading a different game, whoops
