    Just updating again. Even though it won't be on the site for a few years (the guide is from 2015), I purchased the Prima Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector's Edition Guide today. It will be sent to E-Day next week for preservation.

    Funny thing about the write up for the preview of the PS2 game "Ka" in this issue. I quote "There's no chance in hell of Sony flying this mosquito over to America." Ka was released on March 12, 2002 in North America as "Mister Mosquito" LOL.

    This was an EGM issue of "Not Released in North America". There are 12 games in the previews section of this issue that were either Japan only, Europe only, Japan & Europe only, or never released at all. This seems REALLY high.

    One thing I've found interesting when I've been indexing these magazines is checking out the previews and finding games that never ended up being released. This issue ended up with my personal high I've seen with SIX! 4 Sega CD games and 2 Genesis games. Plus there was a Super NES game previewed that didn't release in North America but did come out in Japan on the Super famicom.

    Great post. I recently picked up strategy guide for one of the Resident Evil games from my local pawn shop and the clerk said he loved collected these guides. I didn't have the heart to tell him the purpose of me buying it, was to mail it to someone to completely take it apart (and then scanning it to upload here!)

    I've played a few from the list (Betrayal at Krondor, Lands of Lore, Might and Magic IV and V). Even though it was MANY years ago (Christ I'm old!), I'm definitely getting this!

    I'm stunned to see the amount of games that end up being cancelled. Often now when I'm indexing a mag, if it has a "previews" section, if I'm not familiar with a game I'll look it up on Gamefaqs or Google to check it out. It's seems that 8 out of 10 mags I index has at least 1 cancelled game.

    That's something you can use Archive.org for. I downloaded numerous issues of various mags there to index on here. And most of those ended up being scanned here anyway so I was able to get much better looking scans when they got posted here.

    Interesting note from this issue is that it has a ProReview of Half Life for Dreamcast and says it's available now. Unfortunately, the game was never released for Dreamcast, cancelled only a few weeks before it was set to be released.

    While indexing this magazine, in the "Press Start" section, there is a story that if you order the next Zelda game for the GameCube, you will get a bonus disc of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker re-done with "Adult Link" graphic style instead of the "Toon Link" that Wind Waker originally had. I didn't remember anything about this disc so I did a bit of research and couldn't find anything about it. So then, I happened to notice that it was the APRIL issue. So, of course, in the next issue it's confirmed that it was EGM's traditional April Fool's joke.

    I sent him a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 guide and I think the other one was Dead Island? They'll appear sometime. I certainly don't mind seeing the Nintendo Power mags first.
