  1. I just got an email statement, view pic:

I'm a Platinum Elite member and I went ahead and hopped on the new Punch-Out!! WiiWare game.

The Mario Hat is a noble choice, and it's a club's logo. I wouldn't mind either of those, but if it were a Wario hat, I'd grab that in an instant! \;D/

  2. Metroid Dread is not a canceled project. Retro Studios said they are only putting it away for the time being while Team Ninja and Nintendo work on the new one, Metroid: Other M.

Believe me, Other M will have some bits of the old school side-scrolling action.

But even the topic of Metroid Dread alone is biased because it's not a remake of any of the current Metroid, but a brand new title.

Here, let me show you a trailer to this fan-made remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus:

Also in case anyone's wondering, DPsx7 meant New Super Mario Bros. Wii which was announced at E3 this year. In fact, it's not a remake but a brand new sequel to first New Super Mario Bros. (on Nintendo DS - which was a remake of the original Super Mario Bros.).

To stay on topic, let me mention another unreleased remake I'd like to see which is the heavily rumored remake of the original Final Fantasy VII.

After the remake for FFIV for DS, Final Fantasy V is looking to be the next title that Square Enix is going to remake but they sure are taking their time.

Recently, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years have just released for WiiWare in the old-school 16-bit style, and is a direct sequel to FFIV.

On another note, a very interesting game that is getting a really good remake is the original Silent Hill. Konami is developing it for Wii, and it's called Silent Hill: Shatter Memories. It's turning out to be one of the best titles in the series so far.

  3. Aw man, if you're lucky you may find a Core 2 Quad Q6600 for under $300, but right now the demand is so high that the price jumped up a few as 75$ more.

Now I'm waiting even longer for the price to go back down.
