  1. is working on joining posters as time allows.

  2. I know I've been MIA for a while, but what happened to 420s guides? He had like 40-ish of the NPGs scanned. Do you plan on rescanning all of those? I fear there may be some drama here or something =| (420s guides a-la the Nintendo Player's Guide project over at Transexual-Underground)
  3. I voted for Nintendo Power cause I'm really more interested in polishing off all of the missing stuff. (rather than more issues, etc.)
  4. image shown for display purpose? wait what? what else is an image for?
  5. Photoshop can batch edit too ya know =)
  6. Ah I see. Was the official snes game guide of of your releases? I think I nabbed it off of emuparadise and was wondering where it came from...
  7. Ah I joined the cover to 128: http://img12.imagepile.net/view.php?file=2...ont-outside.jpg Not sure which is prefered :shuriken: Should I continue scanning? or do you want the cred for it =P
  8. snes buyer's guide? Is that the same as/related to the "official SNES Game Guide"? or is it something completely different?
  9. I'm currently working on everything from issue 128. I managed to dig up 126-139 but i'm missing 138 x_x
  10. i sent you links to joined poster(s) for issue 137 (looks like one of them was resized or compressed or something, I'll re-up it) also i found an issue of 146 that has TWO posters, yes two of the same poster...so I'll be getting those to you soon. edit: scans done I'll pm you with links Philly... For those interested: 137 links: http://aycu33.webshots.com/image/13152/200...08030843_rs.jpg http://aycu32.webshots.com/image/13991/200...90745652_rs.jpg 146 links: http://aycu16.webshots.com/image/16495/200...04666144_rs.jpg http://aycu29.webshots.com/image/17068/200...48657212_rs.jpg
  11. yeah (well Okami is) Godhand is a game about punching people Clover also made Viewtiful Joe.another one i have yet to try out... but it has a pretty solid fan-base and great reviews across the board.
  12. Ah i have god hand just sitting waiting to be played. It's supposed to be great. Have you seen the Videogaiden review of it? made me laugh a few times: I'm so sad that Clover is gone. I would love to see a second Okami... but now that Clover is gone there either won't be one or it'll be a real crappy one. :clover:

    Okami

Perhaps this should go in the game reviews section, but I don't think a rave is worthy of being called a review. Just wondering if any of you out there in Nintendo-land have got around to playing okami on the PS2. It's seriously revived the worth of my PS2 (for me). It's been a long time since I've found a game that really consumes me. the game sort of reminds me of Zelda:OoT (it's been called "zelda-killer" and PSM calls it "the Playstation answer to Legends of Zelda") but it certainly has it's differences. Also it's graphic style is just to die for... Anyway I could probably go on forever about it, but if you have a ps2 and some spare monies, go buy okami now! especially if you enjoy zelda-type games
  14. This (and last) month I managed to pick up the following: 3DO system + 2 controllers + hookups, Way of the Warrior Turbografx System with A/V but no power cord, 5player multi-tap, and 3 controllers, Cadash PSX (55001), two controllers + hookups Dreamcast with hookups but no controllers/memcards, two games Sega genesis with pretty much everything and maybe 8 games Atari 800 and 130xl (both with a ton of games and accessories) can you believe the total for all that was only ~55$? God I love craig's list. Also managed to grab a PS2, 2 controllers, ~5games for 40$, but I sold most of that stuff
  15. original gameboy b/c it's the only one i own I've never really liked portable systems cause I'm rarely in the need for one...and in those cases i just bust out my mp3 player (no, not an ipod =] ) Also portable systems tend to be the easiest to emulate. I'ms till waiting for a decent nds emu =)
  16. typically hard rum (capn' morgan private stock), vodka, or beer, but since that's boring: My own concoction: -about half a glass of coke or so -couple shots of rum -rose's watermelon flavor to taste it's good crap if the measurements are done well... Though I've never bothered to actually measure them =P It's kind of a tart, sweetness that i just like. If you try it out, lemme know whatchya think.
  17. depends on the game for me. If it's a fun enough game so that running through all of those usually-tedious tasks can remain entertaining, I'll go for it. Otherwise it's just not worth it.
  18. you should make a sticky with a list that's locked and just keep it updated with what's going on. Probably streamline things a bit more than a thread like this.
  19. Fine, fine. I'll be patient like a good little ninja.
  20. errrr... by holes I meant entire missing issues. The missing posters/covers are still missing =P I apologize for my bad wording. The old mininova torrent (still up on google) has these issues missing: - 84 - 85 - 87 - 89 - 90 - 91 - 92 - 131 Issues #103 through #110 or missing. (not counting the covers/posters) With the latest yearly releases, all of that has been covered except for issue 131 So I currently have issues 1-145 (with some missing covers/posters) except issue 131 Hope this clears it up ^_^
  21. Well, the old large torrent from mininova went up to issue 145 (with a lot missing posters and/or covers). Obviously it was lacking issue 131. Since that torrent, all of the other holes have been filled, so I'm somewhat antsy to nab 131 =).
  22. could someone throw np131 up somewhere? it's the only one I'm missing. in return I offer...um...internet hugs?
  23. wow, you're so helpful there slink.... =/ Leave your predispositions elsewhere. Which fans are you referring to alien? Case fans? Regardless, I would recommend poking around http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.as...;name=Case-Fans and reading the reviews.
  24. I drink more water than anything else so I guess I have to pick that
