  1. NES Game Atlas Top Secret Passwords Super Mario RPG Nintendo Player's Guide Super NES These will be scanned after EGM year 2000 is completed.
  2. I have two double-sided posters both of which I believe originate from two issues of EGM. I'd like to know which issues that they come from. I'd like to add these posters to the correct issues of EGM, which I've most likely scanned.
  3. I notice that my scans of Game Players Encyclopedia 3 and 4 are not yet posted in the downloads section of this website. Why is this? Can I upload them myself directly to the downloading section? My scan of Game Player's Sega Genesis Strategy Guide Vol 2 No 5 is also not available to the downloads section. Also, I will be posting more scans soon.

  10. It is very strange to say my that one of my relased scan files has a resolution of 300 DPI while others have 72 DPI. I used a batch process to edit these magazines and for gamepro, I used it throughout the whole magazine with the same setting. For the nintendo power, I just viewed it again. The pixel dimensions of the front cover is 1311 x 1725, back cover is 1280 x 1725, and the interior pages are all 1280 x 1711. The interior pages hardly differ in size from the covers and this does not consist of a difference of 228 DPI. I used 1280 as the width after inspecting a nice scan of nintendo power on this site. Is there a problem with the resizing of my scans? Are they too small? I scan to tiff files so my raw files are very large. I can share these to others who want to edit my magazines but the file-size will be huge. I think it will be best if I burn them to DVDs and mail them. I'm willing to do this if someone wants but I have a condition: my scans must be edited rather quickly and released in a timely fashion (otherwise it is a waste of time for me to scan). I don't want someone sitting on my work for a long time. The other issue regarding joining pages is very easy to resolve. In fact, I think my method already solves it. Consider my files name nintendo_power_005_-_1989_mar-apr_035.jpg, nintendo_power_005_-_1989_mar-apr_036.jpg and nintendo_power_005_-_1989_mar-apr_037.jpg. These three pages consist of a single printed page folded at two edges making three seperate pieces. I cropped the images at the folding edges to make three seperate files. Then consider file named nintendo_power_005_-_1989_mar-apr_038.jpg. This file consists of a joining of the aformentioned three files into one continuous image which is how a person viewing the magazine can see the image all in one glance. I think that having seperate file scans along with the combination of scans is the best way to handle this issue. This can work for other magazines too. I do not mind if Fusoya replaces some of my scanned pages with superior scanned versions. I think this is better.
  11. I finished two scans. GamePro_Issue037_September_1992.rar http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QUEK1PAN Nintendo_Power_005_-_1989_Mar-Apr.rar http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KOFOR39L Please note that these old magazines are not in mint condition. The nintendo power suffers from damage especially on the covers and suffered water damage throughout. It's hard to notice though in the final product. An advertisment-like part near the end of the magazine has some defacement. I think this isn't a big problem since it's probably the least important page in the entire magazine. And the strider poster/ Adventure Island level 1 map has some rips in it. Four pages in the middle of the Gamepro have heavy wrinkles and folding since I had removed those pages years ago when I received the magazine in 1992. Also, one picture from a turbo grafx 16 ad was cut out and so two pages are affected. Note that the Game Pro magazine is printed with slightly non-rectangular pages. I guess it was cut a bit sloppily. So there is gapping on the sides of the scans. I could have cropped it off to make it look better but I'd rather show more than less of the page. Tell me if you notice other problems.
  12. Hello. I noticed your site today and am very interested in contributing. I am experienced at scanning and would like you to tell me which of the following magazines I should scan. My magazines are mostly from the early to mid 1990s and cover the 16-bit era heavily. Some of these magazines may miss some pagess but most should be complete. Also, I plan to take the magazines apart to generate high-quality scans.
