  1. Newest upload [09/12/2019] - Famimaga March 1989 https://archive.org/details/famimagamarch1989 Here is a list of everything I was able to obtain thus far: Basic Magazine January 1992 BugBug March 2011 BugBug July 2012 Famimaga June 1987 Famimaga October 1987 Famimaga February 1988 Famimaga April 1988 Famimaga October 1988 Famimaga February 1989 Famimaga March 1989 Famimaga June 1989 Famimaga March 1990 Famimaga April 1990 Famimaga May 1990 Pasocom Paradise December 2003 There are some additional files I am downloading that I hope are actually magazines, but I can't read Japanese. Google translate makes me hopeful though.
  2. Fixed this one and I have two findings: 1.) Even though the file was renamed on my own computer to .cbz (confirmed in command line as well), somehow Archive.org is now adding a .cbz.zip to the end of the file name when you access the file on the uploader. I didn't notice it the first time, but I caught it on the prompt and removed the .zip. This is pretty weird since it never used to do that. 2.) At some point I renamed my .cbz file to a different name than the meta.xml file, which probably caused some problems as well.
  3. Let me be clear since you only quoted part of what I said and then assumed I was doing it incorrectly. I am using the process listed on this site: http://xylasoft.com/xylamic/how-to-create-a-comic-book-archive-cbz-or-cbr/ I am more interested if you have a better method of generating the files. I am trying to experiment on the April one right now to see if I get different results.
  4. In all of my previous uploads to the service, I used the same procedure. I take all of the images, put them into a zip file and then rename the zip file to .cbz I can read the .cbz on my machine as normal (With CDisplayEX) and until these last two uploads, they displayed the preview image and created a _scandata.xml
  5. Newest upload [09/10/2019] - Famimaga April 1990 https://archive.org/details/famimagaapril1990_2
  6. Okay, this is the first of the #notmyscans series. This is issue #9 of Famimaga from May 1990. This was retrieved from the Perfect Dark file-sharing service. ...not a great place to go looking for magazines, but I have a few items I was able to retrieve.
  7. Wow, the Frag Dolls. That brings back a lot of memories.
  8. Okay, I found some interesting ones: Famimaga, Hobby Japan and Micom Basic. I'll upload whatever is not already on Archive.org once they are completed. ...but mostly Perfect Dark sucks, a lot of it is bad garbage.
  9. Interesting. I have not heard of Perfect Dark before. I just set it up and will let you know if I find any magazines.
  10. Everything about this magazine is amazing. Those ads are such hilarious period pieces.
  11. Just keep E-Day :-). Otherwise I'll have to change my name to Poopz McShitz.
  12. Maybe you were not "diverse" enough Pretty lame excuse they gave you though.
  13. Wow that's an interesting bit of trivia I have not seen before! Too bad EGM or GamePro didn't do an April Fools issue making up some other Squaresoft renditions of literary classics.
  14. Like this way cool Game Players issue 11: https://www.retromags.com/files/file/4357-game-players-issue-11-may-1990/
  15. Ahhh yes, Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and Felicia from Darkstalkers… I based all of my teenage expectations around women on these two characters.
  16. I am glad that for the USA version of Super Mario Bros. 2 they re-skinned the Doki Doki Panic game. It brought in new elements to the game like the pick up and throw mechanic. I wonder what Super Mario Bros. 3 would have been like if they didn't get feedback from the reskinned Super Mario Bros. 2 USA version.
  17. Super Mario Bros. 3 preview articles put me into a special place of Zen.
  18. Wow this Castlevania IV guide is seriously cool. Thank you!
  19. For me I have a duplex scanner and unless I get a paper jam (which happens quite a bit), I generally assume that all of the pages went through. What happened was I scanned a copy of Flux #1 and out being distracted or lazy, I did not actually count that I had everything saved. Well I created my "finalized" file, posted it and tossed a perfectly good magazine away. I have not yet got over this emotionally.
  20. I think you have graduated to F-Day
  21. O I am too stupid to check that I have scanned all the pages before throwing away the magazine.
  22. Wow, this is way cleaner than any other digital copy I have seen.
