(US) Electronic Games first issue was Winter 1981 (US) Computer Gaming World first issue was November 1981 (UK) C&VG first issue was also November 1981 thing is, EG was console gaming oriented, CGW and C&VG were first and foremost computer (gaming) magazines, and C&VG even had type-ins.

I used to have the complete run, with all the cover gimmicks which came over time with the mag (sunglasses, little notebooks, calendar, gaming related plastic gimmicks.....etc). I sold the magazines to a Nintendo enthusiast in 2003.

In the UK I used to buy the 3DO magazine without even owning the console. It was an excellent magazine for a console not popular in the UK at all. I think I'm missing 3 issues, and 1 CD (And yes, 3 later issues actually had the same CDs isssued again as came with earlier issues):

Wow, great stuff. It must be such hard work to do. I can barely scan a straight fanzine with my scanner. Come and visit me here in Koblenz,DE, I have over 2000 mostly UK gaming magazines which need to be scanned and put online (80s, 90s).

I got some GB Action, irregular issues: Issue 13 June 93, Issue 17 Oct 93, Issue 18 Nov 93, Issue 19 Dec 93, Issue 20 Xmas 93, Issue 21 Jan 94, Issue 22 Feb 94, Issue 23 March 94, Issue 24 April 94, Issue 26 June 94, April 95, Sept 95, Oct 95, Nov 95 (final issue) So sometime in 94/95 they stopped the numbering and continued with month/year only until Nov 1995, which was the last issue (if I remember right, they had a farewell in the editorial, but like so many here, my gaming magazines (approx 2500) are also boxed up and stored in the spare room).
