Castlevania II: Simon's Quest would be a awesome remake IMO. Not a 3D remake, just 2D with enhanced graphics.

I got the buyers guide back in December I think. Nothing since then. Its frustrating.

Sounds pretty cool.

Who watches football and what is your favorite team. Or how about your least favorite team. Maybe even why you hate football. Anything goes.
I've been watching football since I can remember. I played football in junior high. Favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys......yeah I'm pissed off too. Second favorite team is the NY Jets. I hate the Steelers and the Patriots.

I went ahead and updated my Wii, and guess what? No problems so far. Hope it stays that way.

from 1up.com:
The recent Wii 4.2 system update is causing some unexpected problems for console owners, according to various posts on the Nintendo tech support forums. Since Tuesday's update, threads have popped up concerning the update freezing during the install, disc read errors, and overall console bricking. -
No, honestly I do not like it. I feel the old model looks way better. Also I have the best version in my opinion also the most feature filled the 60 giger.
I never liked the look of the original PS3. Too glossy for my taste. I much prefer the look of the slim.

I finally took the dive........
......and went and bought a PS3 Slim.

I still regret the stupid decision to NOT buy the Dreamcast back then. I was too "stuck" on Nintendo to see the wisdom in the swirl. It would have been fun........

The other day I was in GameStop, and I saw the Xbox version of this game for $59.99
What's up with that?

I just bought SimCity 2000. I had it on the PS1 back in the day, but it somehow disappeared on me.

I just got my PS3 slim last week, and so far I'm pleased with it. It is much nicer than the original 'turd' that has been out for awhile now. The console is still a bit large in my opinion, but it's not a major problem. The system is quiet while in use for both blu-ray movies and game playing. The dashboard resembles the PSP's dashboard; it's nice and easy to use. The movies and games boot quickly.
The one major gripe that I do have is with the controller. The dualshock 1 & 2 controllers were both very excellent controllers. Responsive and smooth. But the dualshock 3 feels very light and cheap to me. I thought all three were cast from the same mold? Also the sticks seem to be very loose and 'twitchy'. I do like the R2 and L2 buttons now being the trigger-type. That was a nice touch.
So far I'm happy with my purchase. I'm glad I waited for the slim.
How do the rest of the slim buyers out there feel?

Check out this story from 1up.com:
There's been plenty of speculation that Konami's Rebirth initiative -- WiiWare releases of some of its most beloved franchises, but in the style of the old 2D classics -- would eventually extend to Castlevania, and today it seems we've received the first confirmation of this. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) has just listed a Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth (as discovered by GamerBytes). And while there's no real information on how the game will look or play, one could speculate based on the name that it's based on Castlevania: The Adventure, a popular installment for the GameBoy. Here's how the ESRB describes the game:"This is a side-scrolling action game in which players battle against monsters in Dracula's castle. Players use a chained whip to fight their way through halls and dungeons filled with zombies, skeletons, flying eyeballs, and bats. The enemy creatures frequently shoot projectiles and attack players in hand-to-hand combat. If players sustain too much damage, they keel over and emit a burst of red blood. Some rooms in the castle also have spikes or spears stained with red, blood-like splotches."
Interestingly, while the game is most likely being developed by M2, the small studio responsible for the other WiiWare ReBirth titles, longtime Castlevania director Koji Igarashi (IGA) may be involved with it (answering the question of what he's up to since he's not attached to Castlevania Lords of Shadow for PS3 and 360). He recently helped with Contra ReBirth, so there's a good likelihood he could be helping with or overseeing this game. However, given the ReBirth games are return to the visual and play style of the 8 and 16-bit titles, this will likely be a more straightforward, linear affair, rather than a game using the Metroidvania style adventuring and backtracking that's become common in Castlevanias of recent years (and that IGA's been known for).
We'll hopefully have more information on Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth soon, possibly at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
Seems like it's gonna happen. This will be very nice for long time Castlevania fans such as myself.

I love the Xbox360 controller. Haven't had any problems out of it. D-pad works fine for me, but I admit it took some getting used to because it sits up so high out of the controller Don't know of any good 3rd party controllers for the 360 though.

Best "classic" controller has to be the SNES pad. It works for all types of games, especially fighting games. Honorable mention goes to the original dualshock 1 controller. It rocked.
The best "current" controller is the Xbox360 in my opinion. Works great for FPS and racers. Not as good for fighting games, but it works.

33 years old. I can remember playing my cousin's Atari 2600 when I was quite the wee lad. But the NES is what got me hooked. So I would say I am the "NES" generation.

That's one of the coolest mods that i have ever seen! I like it.

OMG. That sucks. I would've been ticked off.

Damn what I would give to go to that just one time in my life. It would be a blast!

My ISP is a company called Suddenlink. The rates are kind of expensive, but I have no limits on usage. It also fast and hardly ever goes out.
Before that i used AOL dial-up. Yuck.

Favorite N64 game?
in Retro Video Gaming!
Posted
I know a majority of people would ask "Why?", but my favorite N64 game is Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Sound left something to be desired, but the graphics were outstanding at the time and the controls were spot-on. Great game.
