  1. Lol, I know about the one here . But it was much more in depth than just a listing style like that. It had paragraphs and stuff, too! Did the wiki here used to be more in that style? Did the posters used to be featured there until they were moved to the download section?
  2. Is there a really good index of which issues covered what games, somewhere out there? There used to be an amazing wiki (it might have been on here, but I can't remember now) that had pretty in depth coverage of what was in each issue for at least the first 20 issues. There was a listing of what each of the sections of the magazine covered, and it may have even had cross-references to other issues that game was covered in. It had pics of the posters each issue came with, as well. Can anyone help me out in finding this? If it can't be found, I may have to start up my own by just going through each issue, lol.
  3. I like looking at pics in the current issues of Famitsu whenever I can track them down. Does anyone here do the same? Ever get jealous that our current game magazines don't have quite the same zeal (I know I do, lol)? I also like picking up old issues from the NES era from other countries. I have quite a few issues of Nintendo Flash from the Canadian Fun club. Very fun stuff .
  4. Not to be confused with a discussion on the morality of ROM's, but does anyone here play games on their PC? Personally, I just don't feel like it's quite the same as playing it on the original system. Sometimes it's just too easy with a ROM; I'm thinking of how much easier it was to beat the dam in TMNT when I could use save states, lol. The only time I've found it useful is for games unreleased here in the US, with maybe a fan translation involved. Are there any games you think are better played on a PC?
  5. Any members here? I joined when it started, and reached Platinum Status. What do you think of the prizes? I'm a little disappointed that the hat is the best thing we're being offered. I was hoping for the controller that Club Nintendo Japan got last year. That would have been sweet!
  6. Do you think it's a good idea? Do you like how they're getting rid of the UMD format? I think it kind of sucks, personally. I like the feel of the original one the best. The "upgraded" one they came out with that was lighter just didn't feel quite the same. I hope this new one is like the original in feel.
  7. You used to be able to sign up and receive newsletters from different game companies. I have several from Acclaim, Natsume, Vic Tokai, and Taito. Does anyone else have any of these? Are there any companies that I didn't mention that you know put out newsletters? Does anyone have any scans of them?
  8. I'm wondering how many people here actually collect the old magazines? I have a nice sized collection of NP's and Fun club issues so far. I think I have most of the first 50 of NP. I'd also like to start up a collection of old Game Informers and Electronic Gaming monthly. Which magazines do think were the best from that era?
  9. Do you still use your old issues of Nintendo Power for game tips? Recently when playing through Mega Man, I got stuck in a certain part, and found that my old NP's had better advice than some of the FAQ's that I could find online. Anyone else experience this? Which games did you use it for? Which games do you wish had been covered that weren't?
  10. Nintendo had some sweet contests to go with the magazine. The first that comes to mind is the Final Fantasy contest from the teens issues of NP. Did you enter the contest? Do we have any winners here? I've seen pics of some of the prizes. If you won, do you still have your prize?
  11. I am wondering how many people were members of the original Nintendo Fun Club. What kind of subscription package did you get? Did you ever order any of the items available in the "Fun Stuff" section? I'm also curious if anyone still has any of their original Fun Club stuff today. Do you still read your issues?
