  1. Same here. To be honest, I totally forgot I was a member until I heard about the ownership change.
  2. I love that game. That was one of my favorites back in the days...
  3. Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1. Nothing says Mega Drive better than that music. Now that I've been reminded, I'm gonna go make it my ringtone...
  4. First console was a Famicom. First console I paid for was a PS2...

  9. Yeah, I guess there's no avoiding hulu now. I will never get any work done ever if people are embedding videos from there....
  10. I got a chance to finally check out Jab Strong Fierce, the Street Fighter art exhibit at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, CA. Here are some blurry pics I took from the exhibit, and the art print and I AM 8-BIT Blanka t-shirt I ended up buying If you're in the greater Los Angeles area, you need to check this out. It'll only be there until May 11...
  11. I think only the triple A games like a Halo or a God of War or a Street Fighter IV will be able to get away with a $60 price point for a long time. People are being much more selective with their purchases and looking to justify whether they'll get $60 worth of fun out of their games...
  12. Ah, so that's the picture quality. Yeah, it's not so bad, like an average cell phone camera. I guess we should expect better nowadays, but I can never picture myself as the type to use the DSi to take random pictures unless it's for a game feature.... Hmm, DSi game that uses the camera as a feature...
  13. I don't know about anybody else, but this story just made me feel really old. On April 1989, Nintendo released the system that carried them through the "dark days" of the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, paving the way for the Wii and DS. I still wonder if Nintendo had a Game Boy Evolution ready just in case the DS bombed...
  14. Yeah, it's kind of late at this point, but for the EGM readers here, what was your favorite April Fools' joke? I loved the Sheng Long and Sega Neptune jokes, but my personal favorite was Mushroom Kingdom Hearts. It really had me fooled for a second. Let's hear yours and if you fell for any of them...
  15. You guys don't get dizzy playing the Virtual Boy? Hats off to y'all, I remember trying out kiosk at a Toys 'R Us back in the day and I lasted all of 5 minutes before getting dizzy...
  16. I love me some SFIV. If only real life didn't get in the way, my Balrog would be killing it online. But alas, my pristine 5-13 online record is the best I can do
  17. One of the more interesting things to come out of GDC was the admission by Nintendo that there was a system called "Atlantis." According to Jeremy Parish's blog, the rumor was that the handheld was a 32-bit system that could compete with the likes of the Saturn and the Playstation. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the system never saw the light of day because of a variety of factors that were never really explained, but Parish points to the last second unexpected success of Pokemon as a potential reason. Anyways, seeing pictures of the handheld right next to the DS makes me wonder how different things might be if Atlantis had come out. While the GBA wasn't exactly what I would call "Saturn and Playstation quality," imagine if in 1996, we did have a portable gaming system that was as good as the stuff we had at home. Would there even be consoles today if Atlantis was a success, proving that next-gen is right in your hands? Or would it have been another Virtual Boy and we'd be buying them on eBay today for irony? Not that Nintendo needs more attention, but I would love to see what else they have that never got past the doors of their R&D department...
