  1. Best retro video game holiday, of course, everyone's favorite bar none, hands down, your birthday. On my birthday i think i remember getting a NES back in 1990 or 1991 with Zelda and Super Mario and Duck Hunt and that atheletic game with the 6 number gamepad like the ones used for DDR but it wasn't DDR. then in 1992 or 1993 i got a SNES on my next birthday or was it some random day not holiday. i don't care i miss these video games
  2. I'm thinking about buying a Nintendo DS the new big version coming out all because i want to play Mega Man 10
  3. Where can i buy or order old classical video game cabinets like these?
  4. My first video game console was the old NES console that had red and gold colours, idk what exactly what it was called but i remember playing Super Mario Bros. and Dr.Mario over and over again because those were the only games i had so far, until later on...
  5. I'm iffy about getting a Wii because theres too many damn accessories to buy if i'm gonna be a collector, and it sucks your siblings traded off your RetroConsoles, if i was in your situation i would of put them in a locked cabinet and take the key everywhere i go.
  6. RetroGames and Classics alike this should sum up what im about to say to all of you Veteran Games "Bring it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OOOOON!!!!!!!!" I'll beat all of you guys again like its 1990 all over again starting from Alphabetical order. I'll take on all of your from 10 Yard Fight to Zoop! Let the fight begin!
  7. I've learned that the HARD WAY! I let my cousin borrow FF7 and Xenogears, the mutherfucker lost Disc 2 for FF7 and the Disc 1 for Xenogears. Luckily, i still had hope, one video game still pulled through for me, no matter what and stayed with me throughout the years, BFM. My other cousin obviously just dumped my old consoles and it was never seen again. Now, as i got older and these new punk ass youngsters and their high end graphics whore games and high definition game consoles started to invade the VG World, I'm only now realizing that i need to reunite myself with the "Veterans". and looking for these old but true classic treasure consoles is like looking for a long lost relative you never met
  8. PSX PS2 i wish i still had my old consoles, i use to be a collector then i gave all my old consoles away to my little cousin who irresponsibility takes care of it now. i use to have N64 SNES NES with that i would be having 5 consoles right now but sadly i only have 3, PSX > PS2 > PS3
  9. Alot i haven't HAVE NOT played and would love to get my hands on before the world ends!
  10. Like WCW fans rejoicing "NWO 4 Lyfe" hands down! I'M ALL RETRO FOR LIFE!
  11. Thanks Retromaniacs! i can rely on you guys.
  12. Anyone know where i can find good sites that gives instructions on how to create your favorite video game character in costume form? I'm in an halloween crisis right now and i dislike buying the costumes in the stores because they suck and don't deserve the expensive price thats not worth it. I.E. i'm looking towards an Altair or Ezio costume any suggestions?
  13. I Prefer more of the Retro Video Games a few of the Modern Day Graphics Whore games, sometimes once in awhile. Kinda like keeping a healthy diet, its always good to go back to your "Roots" [Retro] but at the same time its good to have a little bit of unhealthy fast food [Modern Games], thats how i see it.
  14. All of you made valid good points and of course i'm enjoying my college life. its that when i was younger back in elementary school two things kept my occupied, making friends at school and video games were my two social activities. of course, times change alot can happen in a year now i learned how to balance both my social college life and gamer life. sometimes i do wonder, as a game nerd how is the gaming world doing without me around. i do miss being in video game realms like Princess Peach's castle or the Esper World or an island full of awesome dinosaurs that helped a baby get across dangerous worlds to the mushroom kingdom. *Sigh* and i recently relive something that brought back memories over the summer when i played this game, it hit home hard and it got me thinking of "going back" to my old school self. It was when i played MetalGearSolid4, return to Shadow Moses.
  15. Does anyone know how to properly clean your PS3? I've seen videos on youtube on switching your power switch on and off but that looks dangerous and could break your console. I tried using can air spray but then again it just freezes the dust inside. I use swifer wipes just to clean the surface but thats all it does? Anyone has any tips or knows how to properly clean your PS3 without taking it apart or breaking it apart?
  16. HAHAHA That movie was awesome, best movie of the 80s. Thanks guys, i feel welcomed here as a new member. looks like i'm not the only one being withdrawn from video games.
  17. College is such a hassle and requires lots of time and effort; the 10 page paper, the project that makes no sense, preparation for a 1 hour presentation, 5 hour internships, and the professor that lectures word for word from the book. when i get home i don't have time to pick up the control to enter the Animus =p or finish closing the last gate of Oblivion. Instead i get on the computer typing out notes, reading $100 books that comes out with a new edition every semester that's worth a $40 increase to the previous price, and i get lack of sleep because i have to wind down first. How do some of you current college students balance the two? A gamer in need of help.
  18. I keep mixing this movie up with another titled "District" like Parkour movie District 13.
  19. Hello Retro and New Blood Gamers, my name is Al, i've always thought that i would find a place to talk to other retro gamers out there in the world from when Video Games were born. I always thought this place was something ONLY in my head. I'm please to meet and and uncover historical artifacts from the lost Ancient Video Game World.
