  1. My earliest gaming memory is being terrified of Dr. Robotnik....In GREEN HILL ZONE. I think it was the music that set me off. On my first playthrough of Pokemon Red, I deleted Charizard's Flamethrower for Fire Spin. I used a P-Wing in the first Mario 3 fortress with the Boos because the Princess mentioned ghosts in her letter, and gave me the item, so I thought I had to use it where there were ghosts. Then I flew into a Thwomp. :(
  2. This is a fun question for the casual lover of retro gaming. As someone who loves retro gaming and is not a retro magazine collector, Which magazine issues do you think most people recognize right away
  3. Got a gaming-related story that you're embarrassed about? Why not post it on the internet? I died to a random encounter in Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, widely considered one of the easiest RPGs ever made. And this was on a replay.
  4. Hey, I found a cool retro-gaming websito called "Retro-Sanctuary". http://retro-sanctuary.com/Top%20Games%20Main.html He's done lists for NES, SNES, and Megadrive, and even more recent consoles like Gamecube and Dreamcast. Check 'em out; maybe you'll find an overlooked gem.
  5. Go ahead and share the love for some of your favorite sites or blogs dedicated to classic/retro gaming that keep you coming back for more. Here are a few sites that I like to visit regularly... TG-16... http://www.tg-16.com/ Hardcore Gaming 101... http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/ CRPG Addict... http://crpgaddict.blogspot.com/ The Sega Collection... https://thesegacollection.wordpress.com/ Retro Video Gaming... http://retro-video-gaming.com/
  6. I've decided to part ways with my beloved Nintendo Power collection. I always adored the magazines (especially the early issues) for such awesome, creative covers. I have about 82 issues, most of which are volumes 1-91. Most are in great shape but some have worn spines, small rips, etc. Volumes for Sale: 3, 5-6, 8-12, 14-19, 21-40, 42-65, 67-73, 76, 78, 80, 81,89, 91,126,261,283,284 Please email me which volume(s) you are interested in and a potential offer. I will reply with the condition of the volume(s) and we can discuss the final price. Note: I have these volumes but probably not going to sell them: 1,7,20,66,74,79,90 Most magazines do not have the poster but ask and I will confirm for you. I still have many posters loose and in good shape, so if interested ask for them (I will list them later). Thanks for looking! God bless!
  7. Auctions end May 19 2013 Zelda Posters from 7Hunters.Com Digital Arts Restoration eBay Auction Eartbhound Strategy Poster, origin: Nintendo Power Magazine - I think this was issue 70... also inspired from Nintendo Power Magazine, a matching poster. The Earthbound Strategy poster is full poster size - 24x36"! It's a really cool poster. The smaller poster emulates the Nintendo Power Magazine insert posters, but is rounded off to 24x12" to address framing issues. This auction also ends on the 19th. I only offer the strategy guide poster on auction. Because of its size it's harder to print and ship. Cheers! http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Retro-Earthbound-Game-Posters-Art-Prints-Strategy-Guide-Nintendo-Power-Mag-/281105551371?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item417332500b A lot of people have been asking me where they can find digital copies of the old magazines online so that they can grab graphics and make their own posters or clip art. I have been sending them here. I know about this web site through one of my customers. I'll keep giving out the link! Cheers, and thank you very much for allowing an area for auction hosting. Feel free to delete my old auctions or I'll figure out how to etc. Thank you very much for all your hard work!!!!!
  8. Do you remember the good old days when you sat in front of a TV and had to plug in a game cartridge in order to start up your favorite fantasy RPG? We remember those times, and that's why we started Crystal Kingdom Indiegogo Campaign We update the campaign regularly and adding more content.
