Fallout 3... The Movie

Triverse from the forums here had sent me a PM about Fallout 3 being made into a movie and I just had to post it in the general forum for all to share. It looks like basically nothing is known about it as of yet but here is the entry from IMDB http://www.imdb.com/news/ni0753736/.

I for one loved Fallout 3 and while I was playing it this is exactly what I was thinking "Wow this would actually make a cool movie". Who would have though?

I hope it isn't based off of FO3, I mean it could be a good movie but we have the game for story telling. I was thinking of more along the lines of a story based in the FO universe, they can adjust it for most optimization use stuff that's actually in the game but be a good movie in itself as well as actually being canon. Look what KotOR did, it's just the reverse of what I am talking about. Taking place in the universe of Fallout but just a different area/slightly different time. They could probably even make a movie about the wars themselves and still be canon. We don't really even know much about the journey from Cali to DC.

I guess depending on how epic they really want to make this. if its just for a quick buck, theyll make a shoot em up action flick with monsters and explosions. if they want to take it seriously it has the potential to create a huge following and draw even more attention to the games. Wait and see, wait and see...

I asked my buddy here at work and he says there is also planned a Fallout MMO... cool.
