Game Player's PC Strategy Guide is PC-only counterpart of Game Player's. It ran bimonthly, and dealt with PC news in more detail, dealing mostly with tests and previews. In January 1992, the magazine was renamed to Game Players PC Entertainment. In 1994, the publisher GP Publications (which had taken over the title after the liquidation of Signal Research) was bought by the English group Future Publishing, which wanted to use it as a magazine publication platform in the US. GP Publications became Imagine Media, and PC Entertainment ceased publication at the end of 1993, A large portion of the team from PC Entertainment moved to the US version of PC Gamer when it launched in May 1994.
