  13. I think everyone knows about the Sonic and Knuckles "lock-on technology" feature allowing one cartridge to be inserted into another to alter certain things, but I didn't realize the Famicom was doing it 4 years prior to that. After uploading yet another ad for Sunsoft's Nantettatte!! Baseball, I noticed a couple of odd things. First, there were different ads for the game, with the first appearing in April 1989, and the most recent I just uploaded from December 1990. That's quite a long time to continuously advertise a game, and especially a sports title. But it all made sense when I noticed in the most recent ad a picture of a miniature game cassette. Rather than sell an updated version of the same game every year like everyone else doing sports titles, Sunsoft had designed the original game's cartridge to accept mini cartridges which would be sold separately with roster updates in successive years. Anyone know of any other games to do this?
  14. Nantettatte!! Baseball (なんてったって!!ベースボール) Developer/Publisher: SunSoft Release: October 26, 1990 *seen here is a mini-cartridge containing roster updates which was sold separately and could be inserted into the original game cartridge.

  16. Pocketmags has issues 168-259 for sale. Dunno where you can get complete collections legally anymore, but back in the day, I think they sold back issue collections of their early issues on CD-ROM. Unfortunately, they were ridiculously compressed PDFs (think 7MB per issue) so the quality was absolute trash, and it's unlikely they could get away with selling those anymore. They're still out there though, even if no longer available to purchase.
