I dunno about that. Yeah, Jam was more hip and fast paced, but I liked this for being a decent more realistic game back then. I even played through a few seasons, but unfortunately my home conference wasn't included as possible team choices.

I haven't really heard good things about this or any other ST game. Why can't someone do something good with the license?
-
Yeah, think of it more as just a game using the same engine. It still has its flaws, but it's also fun.
-
I thought this game looked cool, but then I discovered Carmageddon. C2 is still one of my favorite car combat games ever (mostly due to it not relying on weapons).

I've had to take the glass out of one of my scanners and ended up wiping down both sides of the glass with a dry eyeglass cleaning cloth to prevent scratches. It may be possible that they made it easier to get the glass out than you may think, so take a moment to see if removing a plastic slat may do the trick.

Sounds like we need a PC game top 10, if there isn't already.

I have no idea, but it would be cool to soar through the skies and still be an Autobot, as uncommon as that is.
Or one could be a Decepticon who isn't really evil, like Soundwave. The only reason he helps them is pragmatic: "Decepticons, superior. Autobots, inferior."

All those ideas, and no one thought of that we'd be happy with a feature length version of the animated SMB Super Show? It worked for the original Transformers...

I first misread the topic as Polyhedron Magazine... yeah, I was a tabletop RPG nerd.

I think I may have rented this once. I know I played an Atari 2600 pool game (relatively advanced for the system) a lot back in the early 80s.

He's on fire!

Funny that I recently spotted a used copy of another Myst game port, Myst 3 for the PS2.

US to EU censorship has long existed, like when they replaced the humans in Carmageddon with Zombies.
-
Wow, I thought they only had this in Japan with the BS-X.

Many of those mentioned would be in my top 5. Also, Combat was one of the greatest head-to-head games of all time.

I love the Power Glove. It's so Bad.
-
Cool. Too bad this game got stiffed in Nintendo Power coverage with DW3 coming out in the US so soon after.

My mom got me this for Christmas because they were sold out of Final Fantasy, but I never played and took it back for FF later. Coincidentally, Chaos is the final boss of Final Fantasy, heh.
-
I got this game back when it came out, but didn't even come close to beating it until I got a Game Genie a couple years later. Nice find of the music offer, Areala, but I don't remember that being in my copy and have no idea who it was (probably some cheap, not famous act, heh).

I never got a chance to play this, but it inspired me to pick up the PC game Chesswar in the late 90s. Imagine Battle Chess with live-action battle sequences.

Though I would have once said just about anything from Square in the SNES era, I've actually gotten slightly tired of them from years of repeated listening. Now, I pretty much dig whatever I'm listening to at the moment on my extensive playlist spanning from NES to PS2.
One possibly lesser known soundtrack of note that still gets me amped is from the SNES game called Vortex. It's a SuperFX game that was pretty much ignored with its possibly too high of difficulty (I've never gotten past the first stage), but the soundtrack is full of great bass beats that I had no idea the SNES was capable of before then.
(go 6 minutes or so in for sound test)

Yeah, I haven't bought any new DVDs since Blu Ray won the format war. Haven't been able to buy any Blu Ray either though.

Thor, you didn't enjoy DW 2-4?
My list would be pretty much the same except FF would be in the top 10 somewhere instead of Castlevania 1-2 (maybe add part 3). Nice to see someone else like MM3 more than MM2 also.

I always wanted to give this a try. I have played other sims like this and bombing is usually hard. It only gets worse with faster WWII and later planes until they started simulating laser targeting.
Also, this game's name always makes me think of the song by Iron Maiden.
