  1. I always wanted to give this a try. I have played other sims like this and bombing is usually hard. It only gets worse with faster WWII and later planes until they started simulating laser targeting.

Also, this game's name always makes me think of the song by Iron Maiden.

  2. I dunno about that. Yeah, Jam was more hip and fast paced, but I liked this for being a decent more realistic game back then. I even played through a few seasons, but unfortunately my home conference wasn't included as possible team choices.

  3. I've had to take the glass out of one of my scanners and ended up wiping down both sides of the glass with a dry eyeglass cleaning cloth to prevent scratches. It may be possible that they made it easier to get the glass out than you may think, so take a moment to see if removing a plastic slat may do the trick.

  4. I have no idea, but it would be cool to soar through the skies and still be an Autobot, as uncommon as that is.

Or one could be a Decepticon who isn't really evil, like Soundwave. The only reason he helps them is pragmatic: "Decepticons, superior. Autobots, inferior."

  5. I think I may have rented this once. I know I played an Atari 2600 pool game (relatively advanced for the system) a lot back in the early 80s.

  6. My mom got me this for Christmas because they were sold out of Final Fantasy, but I never played and took it back for FF later. Coincidentally, Chaos is the final boss of Final Fantasy, heh.

  7. I got this game back when it came out, but didn't even come close to beating it until I got a Game Genie a couple years later. Nice find of the music offer, Areala, but I don't remember that being in my copy and have no idea who it was (probably some cheap, not famous act, heh).

  8. Though I would have once said just about anything from Square in the SNES era, I've actually gotten slightly tired of them from years of repeated listening. Now, I pretty much dig whatever I'm listening to at the moment on my extensive playlist spanning from NES to PS2.

One possibly lesser known soundtrack of note that still gets me amped is from the SNES game called Vortex. It's a SuperFX game that was pretty much ignored with its possibly too high of difficulty (I've never gotten past the first stage), but the soundtrack is full of great bass beats that I had no idea the SNES was capable of before then.

(go 6 minutes or so in for sound test)
