There were 4 great titles for the genesis that nobody ever really heard of: Ristar, Comix Zone, Pulseman, and Rocket Knight Adventures. They were all superb games.

Kingdom Hearts. My favorite game ever. I don't care if it has disney characters, it's still awesome, and has the best ARPG battle system I've ever seen, with a good storyline. As of now, I have played it through 7 times, and am now on my 8th play-through, and it's still fun to play! I love this game. It is, and will probably always be, my favorite game of all time.

I don't know why nobody mentioned the Supergrafx! THAT was bad. It literally only had 6 games! Anyway, the R-Zone is just as bad.

I was kind of hoping this would be a wiiware exclusive... oh, well. I still can't wait!

Damn sony fanboys. Also, every retro gamer knows that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a miserable ripoff of the Pitfall series. How dare they.
Death to sony! Their lie-spewing, dreamcast-murdering, pompous sales goons will do anything to destroy competition.

At least 5 years old, Players guides work also
Honestly you could probably find something on Ebay to scan if all your magazines are in bad shape....
Just a quick look and I found this SWAT PRO magazine from 1995 that would only set you back $5 (including shipping)
http://cgi.ebay.com/SWATPRO-GAME-TIPS-MAGA...1QQcmdZViewItem
The pages are mostly not in bad shape; they're actually quite good. I wish I could say the same about the covers. My pocket gamer magazines are in great shape, though. I have these magazines I could upload:
Tips and Tricks with cover art of Megaman X5
A few old issues of pocket gamer
Other old Tips&Tricks and misc. magazines
I'll have time to upload them next week, but is there a tutorial on this forum for making them into a .cbr file? I don't know how to do that.

What is your favorite retro game console? Mine is the Dreamcast.
-
I think Brawl is one of the best wii games so far, and is a major landmark for the console.
-
Hey, the segacd and the 32x have great games The world would be so sad without silpheed, dune, thunderhawk,Jurassic Park,Virtua Racing Deluxe.. and a few more...
The thing about Sega is that some of their best games were only released in Japan... this was the case especially for the SCD, not for the 32X.

The Megaman platformers were awesome, but I prefer the battle network series. It's easily one of the best battle systems I've seen in an ARPG.

Those games sure brought back memories. They are definitely the best portable zelda games to date.

Yes. Get a Dreamcast. It's like, the greatest console ever created by humankind. It is definitely the easiest console to illegally play games on, which makes it all the better for a retro fan to sample its games, which there were many. Perfect Neo-Geo ports, amazing 3-D graphics, colorful 2-D graphics, 3rd party online support still operating, even many PC ports, including Half-Life, Counter Strike, and Quake 3! The Dreamcast was, is, and shall ever be absolutely impeccable.

You're right; the VC does, sadly have a shortage of RPG's. Also, I think that Nintendo or a third-party company is going to distribute a Wii external hard drive when the Library of downloadable games gets big enough. And as strange as it may sound, the best thing Nintendo can do for the VC is add more Neo-Geo titles. No, I'm not an SNK fan, but just hear me out: Even today, these games can cost up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Buying them for about 9 bucks each sounds pretty good right now. The only problem is that just 8 of them are released.

I'm currently playing FF6. I don't care what the fanboys say, I still thing FF6 is better than 7... given, their respective times. They're both good games, obviously, though.

Ever since I saw the PS3's "installation" screen, I knew that optical media had gone too far. Cartridges rock. End of story.

Oops...
Well, anyway, I do have some magazines I could scan, but they're just in bad condition. Still very readable, just in bad condition. What are the age and condition requirements set on scanned game magazines?

I just signed up with a free account at the forums, and I was only able to download 1 file from the site. It gives the "wait for other downloads to finish, first" error, but I have no other downloads active. Do you need a pay account to download more than one file?
Thinking About Buying A Dreamcast
in Retro Video Gaming!

Get a Dreamcast. I've made a lot of good and bad gaming choices over the years, but getting a Dreamcast was the best gaming choice I've ever made.
