  1. Why is Diehard GameFan "banned"?
  2. What's the general plan for acquiring the missing issues of, say, Game Players, EGM, and VG&CE? Is there an eBay budget? Or is it more of a "hope a Retromags user offers to scan what they have" kind of thing?
  3. I'm surprised that so many issues from the (Ultra) Game Players/Player's run are missing from Retromags. I subscribed to EGM, GamePro, Game Informer, Next Generation, and Game Players/Ultra Game Players back in the mid to late 90s, and after revisiting all of these magazines in the last couple years, I feel that Game Players was one of the top video game magazines, at least starting in 1994 or 1995. I'm curious why it's (seemingly) so low on the acquisition priority list.
  4. Chris Slate, former editor-in-chief of Nintendo Power, was there in 1993. He seems to be the most accessible of the former Game Players crew, at least out of the ones who were there in 1993. I'm not on Twitter, but his page is linked below. I have a feeling he'd be happy to answer any questions, as he comes across as a really friendly guy. https://mobile.twitter.com/chrisslate
  5. I assume some of you have read this article already (below), but in case you haven't, it might help a little. Or maybe it'll just make it even more confusing, haha. I have almost all the Game Players issues, and it's an unwinnable mess to organize them. And don't forget that Game Buyer, which lasted for only four issues, was Ultra Game Players renamed and retooled. http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2006/07/column_game_mag_weaseling_unra.php
  6. Phillyman, I read your whole post. Those are some excellent ideas. Becoming a lifetime patron was a bargain and a half. Thanks a lot.
  7. I recommend changing the title of this, as it's not EGM #7, but an issue of EGM's Top Score "spinoff." EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong.
