  1. Pauljustice's donation included four EGM supplements, which I have added to the site, along with a GamePro supplement guide for Resident Evil 2 (scans 232-237). https://www.retromags.com/magazines/category/usa/electronic-gaming-monthly/electronic-gaming-monthly-supplements/electronic-gaming-monthlys-1993-sports-directory https://www.retromags.com/magazines/category/usa/electronic-gaming-monthly/electronic-gaming-monthly-supplements/egm-1994-video-game-preview-guide https://www.retromags.com/magazines/category/usa/electronic-gaming-monthly/electronic-gaming-monthly-supplements/egms-1993-video-game-preview-guide https://www.retromags.com/magazines/category/usa/electronic-gaming-monthly/electronic-gaming-monthly-supplements/egms-guide-to-portable-games-and-accessories https://community.retromags.com/files/file/3850-gamepro-strategy-guide-resident-evil-code-veronica-part-2 Up next will be the six issues of Sierra's InterAction magazine. They are all scanned and I have started editing the Fall 1994 issue (scan #238)

This is a single ad for five different Tengen titles. This is a single ad for four different Taito games.

Put in perspective, that's equivalent to over $1,200 today. The Teleplay System was a prototype modem which would have enabled online gaming, similar to the XBAND. Unable to secure licensing rights from either Nintendo or Sega for both the hardware and software developed for it, the Teleplay System was never released. A number of products previewed in this guide were never released, or released later with substantial changes. Just because it's documented here doesn't mean it ever made it out of the planning or preview stages.
  4. Electronic Gaming Monthly's 1993 Sports Directory A sixteen-page supplement previewing sports games for 1993. Football Football Fury (SNES) Mutant League Football (GEN) John Madden Football Championship Edition (GEN)1 Bill Walsh College Football (GEN) Joe Montana NFL Football (Sega CD) Sports Illustrated Championship Football (SNES)2 Baseball 2020 Super Baseball (SNES) R.B.I. Baseball '93 (GEN) Hardball 3 (GEN) Bases Loaded 4 (NES) Sports Illustrated Championship Baseball (SNES)2 Tony La Russa Baseball (GEN) Tennis David Crane's Amazing Tennis (SNES) Jimmy Connors Pro Tour (SNES) Basketball Tecmo Super NBA Basketball (SNES) Team USA Basketball (GEN) Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs (GEN) Hockey NHLPA '93 (GEN) Brett Hull Hockey (SNES) Boxing Legends of the Ring (GEN) Golf PGA Tour Golf 2 (GEN) Devil's Course (SNES)3 Chi Chi's Pro Challenge (GEN) Mecarobot Golf (SNES) Power Golf 2 (Turbo Duo) Racing F-1 ROC 2 (SNES) Rock & Roll Racing (SNES) Battle Grand Prix (SNES) Battle Cars (SNES) Road Rash (3DO) Top Gear 2 (SNES) Lamborghini American Challenge (SNES) Jaguar XJ220 (Sega CD) Miscellaneous Kawasaki Caribbean Challenge (SNES) Super Black Bass (SNES) Pele's Soccer (SNES) Ads R.B.I Baseball '93 (GEN) Hardball III (GEN) Muhammad Ali Heavyweight Boxing (GEN) World Trophy Soccer (GEN) Summer Challenge (GEN) Notes: John Madden Football Championship Edition was released directly to the rental market and was not for sale to the general public. It's identical to Madden '93 in terms of graphics and controls, but features a different roster comprised of 38 of the best Super Bowl team lineups of all time from 1966 - 1991. If you've ever wondered how the '76 Raiders would fare against the '85 Bears, here's your chance. It's one of the holy grails of American Football games from the 16-bit era, and one of the few sports games to command a high price tag on today's resale market. Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball is a single cart containing two games. EGM previewed them as separate titles for the purpose of this supplement, but both games come on one cartridge. Devil's Course is the Japanese title. It was released in the US as True Golf Classics: Wicked 18.

  6. I just scanned four EGM supplements, but none where the 1992 preview guide. I did the 1994 one, the 1993 Sports Directory, the Portable Gaming Guide (looks like it is from 1992), and another preview guide that looks like it's for 1993.
  7. For EGM 44, the Aerobiz ad is in the scan. It's page 67 and 68 that are missing. 67 is the second page of the two-page Hudson ad, and page 68 is the content page.
  8. After I scan the VG&CE with no cover so I can rid myself of the paper pages, I will scan the six issues of Sierra's InterAction magazine. After that, it's a toss up between the pile of GamePro issues I have, the pile of Nintendo powers, or a the pile of selected magazines donated to me by pauljustice. They include several issues of Super NES Buyer's Guide, EGM2, Fusion, and some others.
  9. I currently have a copy of VG&CE from March 1990 that has no covers. The version we have could use an update. If anyone has the issue and could scan the inside and outside front and back covers, I could get a new version of this issue on the site.
  10. Hey, I remember this thread! And I remember this commercial. One of my favourites as a kid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajrPJOrq4S8 I saw this Alpha-Getti one yesterday for the first time in over 20 years, and it felt like I saw it yesterday. Everything about it came back to me.
