  1. It depends on the amount of people interested in contributing. Bear in mind people have different ideas as to what the quality of a scan should be. Then there's also favouritism playing a part as well you have to take into account.
  2. I agree. Not rubbishing someone's work or making assumptions about someone's work without facts is also a good idea.
  3. I've learned to scan by manually pushing down on the page. Works wonders.
  4. I'm still waiting for Phillyman to come back to me. Some of my recent scans I wouldn't mind adding here: GamesMaster Issue 181 (Jan 2007) GamesMaster Issue 182 (Feb 2007) GamesMaster Issue 183 (Mar 2007) GamesMaster Issue 184 (Apr 2007)
  5. Thanks for uploading this. By the way did you get the magazine forwarded from E-Day. I'm not allowed to upload myself. I do not have permissions.
  6. Thanks for that Phillyman. By any chance did you get my message? E-Day sent over a scan I did for approval.
  7. I've been in possession of a large number of GamesMaster mags which I have been slowly going through scanning and uploading to OldGameMags. Some of those existing scans by others there could have been better so that's also been an excuse to go through issues others have scanned to improve them, If I can I will try and provide my scans for this website.
  8. I can't say I've had a problem on the ones I've had to scan so far apart from the bookazines and Radio Times, the latter was a nightmare and an exception where I did have to destroy the mag to scan it.
  9. I'm not a collector if I'm selling my magazines on. You're correct that there's thankfully a lot of copies of particular magazines out there but as someone who believes in both physical and digital preservation I find it possible to create a quality scan without destroying the source.
  10. I feel it's important to keep a magazine whole if possible. Why would I destroy I magazine just because I want to scan it? I'd rather pass it onto someone and preserve it longer. Some scanners only care about digital preservation which is wrong because physical preservation is just as important for magazines.
  11. The PAL release of this game goes for quite a bit as I discovered recently so good to see the strategy guide more available.
  12. Back in the day my dad got a nuclear bomb leaflet since there was the threat of the UK being nuked. So famous was the leaflet that a year later they released a leaflet parody. Both are incredibly difficult to find these days.
