  1. The only maddening thing is that Canadian inflation calculators only go back to 1914. I want to know exactly want a pound of pure sulphuric acid being 30 cents works out to. Oh well, I'll just get a church organ.
  2. Is it weird I still have a copy of Area 51 for the PS1? So thank, I need this for later, once the CRT is back in action.
  3. Oh definitely, not underestimating the size, just "in a while" is a bit wishy-washy for a headline.
  4. "Biggest issue in a while"; probably could have work-shopped that a bit.
  5. I really wanted to enjoy Crusader, but that control scheme is just horrible.
  6. So, bad news, good news, we don't actually have any copies of inCite Video Gaming to scan, but we do have the rest of inCite PC Gaming. I guess I'll grab if just because I'm used to them, unless anyone else wants a crack. 6 and 8 are already uploaded, so that leaves 5, 7, and 9.

Feature articles on competition from new consoles, bleem! the PS1 emulator, and "life advice" on attracting woman featuring Kobe Tai interviews with Warren Spector, Tiger Woods and the band Queensryche Previews for MDK2, Boarder Zone, Motocross Madness II, Buggin', Hired Guns, Hit Man, and Pool of Radiance 2 Reviews for Tiger Woods 2000, Quake III Aena, FA-18, Rayman 2, Planescape Torment, Wild Wild West, Fighter Ace 2, Urban Chaos, Space Invaders, Crusaders of Might and Magic, and RollerCoaster Tycoon: Corkscrew Follies Hardware previews and reviews Strategies for The Wheel of Time and SWAT 3 Various editorials and a weirdly aggressive letter section Notes: Page 125 says this is from the February 2000 issue. This exists in the original scan from VGHF, as such, I've preserved it. If it went to print, it's preserved. The opening note from the editor is about an interview they did with Electric Playground; you can watch it here, starting at 13:50 : https://youtu.be/RdslCwaL250?list=PL6uoO3csitWPGNEwxqbjgMp9mm1ab1QF_&t=830. As the opening image betrays, this episode also has a very young "Jeff Gertzman" winning a NFL Blitz tournament.
  9. Ah, Simgolf, lost to time and registry changes. I need to rip my disc and get that thing working in VM.
  10. They we're a bit optimistic accepting orders for Team Fortress 2, to be released March 2000.
  11. Hopefully, we will find out soon, there's a few issues of the console version in the big VGHF hopper, just a matter of getting to them.
  12. The thing is, I would agree with your initial assessment, Stryker. They're trying real hard to be the "mature" magazine, and Esquire of gaming, and it gives a sketchy impression. There is some good stuff in here and other issues, but it's tempered with cheesecake and "extreme" stuff; the Dope interview is evidence enough of the latter, and I really hope the Lara Croft model got paid a lot if they're going to have her pose each and every issue. The next issue has a fairly long shoot of a port actress. That said, most of the game opinions are reasonable, despite my personal crusade against Nocturne. An interview with Chris Sawyer is interesting, I just wish it was a lot longer, but him going into the nitty-gritty of building Roller Coaster Tycoon out of assembly code probably isn't going to hook the audience. You are also right about the longevity, both the PC and console versions of inCite only made it 9 issues each.
