  5. I create an action to do all the colour corrections (levels, brightness, saturation) as well as resize and save a copy at full size, and then resize down and save another copy at 2200px height. I also have an action for cropping. I use the same colour correction adjustments on everything coming out of the same scanner. I find it works just fine. I have different adjustments for different scanners. I also map the actions to F keys to minimize the time wasted clicking on stuff.

  10. Hopefully you'll take pictures of the progress as you build it
  11. Be my guest! I have three or four issues that I scanned that I need to edit.
  12. It's going to become a thing where I will edit scans when I have spare time, but I won't neglect doing other things in order to edit. I wonder if there are any sites online where you can hire Chinese people overseas for a couple of dollars to do grunt work for you. Like a click farm, but for repetitive Photoshop work.
  13. Now that I have to do everything at home, how long will ittake me to edit this issue? Any wagers?
  14. I've had two scans edited and ready to go for about a year now, just waiting. And waiting
  15. I would love to, but it can be pretty expensive, and I would constantly hear my wife complaining about more gadgets, how we don't need it, and that it's just something else to break. I would love to have a Nest or Honeywell WiFi thermostat, but we apparently "don't need that".
  16. Hopefully it is, because I told him you said it was from that game!
  17. Those of you who have been here for a few years may remember a post I did in March 2012 about illustrator Marc Ericksen. If not, there is the link, with a bunch of broken images. Very helpful. The short story is that he illustrated the covers for five or so issues of GamePro, a plethora of game box art, such as Tengen's version of Tetris, Galaga for the Atarai 7800, and probably the most famous of which is Mega Man 2 for the NES. If you are on this site, you know his work. Anyway, he is doing a project for a retrogaming museum in Berlin and they would like him to do a piece of art for them. He is using one of his old pieces, which he believes was done in the 90s for and ad in a gaming magazine. I do not recognize it, but hopefully someone here does. Does this look familiar to anyone?
  18. Interesting, but I would be afraid of something getting hit or bumped in that configuration.
