  1. I went to scan it today and when I pulled it out it had a big white crease that I don't remember being there so if TresHombres has a better looking one I'd prefer he scan it. If not I can scan it and just take a bit of work cleaning it up with the clone brush.
  2. Total N64 feeling to it I loved it! Have any of you been to the Sweet Sweet Galaxy? That stage gave me chills when it started man did it have a Mario 3 feeling or what.
  3. Yeah I miss the catalog I used to buy crap all the time from there.
  4. Yeah the art work was not the best but for some reason I liked the style of art.
  5. Ha yeah... I was looking at that photo you're talking about last week. It never even came to me as thinking that the fake magazine he was looking at would still exist. I too can scan the cover if need be. Kinda late now or I would do it now my wife is in bed and I keep my scaner in the bedroom by my desktop.
  6. I used to be hard core into high performing PCs but I really don't care anymore. I don't play games on PC so it doesnt matter to me. I've got my desktop which is now quite old (5 yrs or so) and then my laptop. Which is an AMD 64 Athlon, ATI Mobility Radion X600, 2 GB Ram, Running XP Media and dual boot with Linux Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. Dual Layer DVD/CD combo writer.
  7. Wow why so many desktops?
  8. Well I took back Resident Evil after beating it and unlocking just about everything in less than 24 hrs. (Sad!) I picked up Mario like I should have in the first place and I'm loving it. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it's very good. As far as did it live up to me expectations ... well no. It surpassed my expectations! I was not originally going to buy the game because it did not interest me but in the past couple weeks I've started to really want the game. I'm only up to 8 stars right now but this game unlike RE was worth $50. Now since the start of this game all I've been thinking about is how cool a new Mario RPG could be if they did it with the more Square Enix feel to it rather than Paper Mario or the GBA game. And since Nintendo and Square are back on par with each other why could they not get together and make a true RPG sequel?
  9. I loved StarTropics but I never could finish the last boss.
  10. Yeah I usually find quite a bit of that in my keyboard as well
  11. I know right~! Personally Ratchet and Clank have nothing on Mario if you ask me.
  12. I enjoyed it quite a bit, yeah it could have been better but it was still a good flick.
  13. This is something I have been doing for years on my used video game like when you buy them from Gamestop and they have those ugly price tags. I just tried it for the first time on a Sega Visions magazine and it works wonders. What you need to do is just apply some heat preferably using a hair dryer and slowly peel the label off the cover and keep applying the heat as needed. I didn't think it was going to work on such an old label but it came off without tearing the cover at all.
  14. First off check out this Review on Mario Galaxy, by some Sony rep non the less: http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117935396...=1269&cs=1# I can't believe this direct attack towards Nintendo and Mario. Such biased crap never should have been allowed on the site not only is this just trying to bad mouth a game that will probably end of as Game of the Year, but this just proves that Variety.com has no credibility when it comes to video game reviews.
  15. In the 2nd issue someone asked about an add on for the Genesis/Mega Drive that gives CD-ROM capabilities and of course they answered saying that it's totally untrue. But then in the 3rd issue someone asked about a 32bit attachment for the Genesis and they again shot it down immediately. I just found this kinda funny since both of which happened but this did not happen until several years later.
  16. Normally I'd agree with that but I never beat Mario Sunshine because it was such a boring game.
  17. I totally agree. For a very short time I worked for a small video game publisher which started as just a homebrew company that eventually started making money on the games but it was very little money but still. I totally agree instead of just leeching hard work you should pay for it. Which is exactly why I'm so happy about the Wii. I've taken so many roms over the years I've now I'm paying for the roms, I of course don't have to because like I said I have a fully modded Xbox which I can play what ever games I want to but I really don't enjoy playing my xbox. It is just used as a DVD player only now.
  18. PS2 and DC are so cheap if your wanting to emulate them you might as well just buy a PS2 and get a mod filp top lid for it and play backed up games. Or with DC you can play backed up games right out of box as long as you buy an older version of the console. Then you can emulate NES and a few others even from the Dreamcast.
  19. Though I'm still missing quite a few issues and will end u having to buy another storage box, after all these years I have finally and properly cataloged my Nintendo Power magazines using magazine bags and cardboard backing. I also made some index cards to separate them by year as well. Eventually I'll have the rest of the issues that I'm missing. -1989- 004 Jan/Feb 005 Mar/Apr 007 July/Aug 008 Sept/Oct 009 Nov/Dec -1990- 010 Jan/Feb 011 Mar/Apr 012 May/June 013 SG1/NP13 014 July/Aug 015 SG2/NP15 016 Sept/Oct 018 Nov/Dec -1991- 031 December -1993- 044 January 045 February 046 March 047 April 048 May 050 July 051 August 053 October 054 November 055 December -1995- 074 July 076 September 077 October 078 November 079 December -2000- All of these and I'm currently bidding on them on eBay. Wow... when I lay it out that way it looks like I'm missing a lot more than I thought. I've found that even if I'm only missing a few from a certain year it's cheaper to buy the full year rather than the individual issues. Including shipping the most expensive issue I bought was about $20. And the usually you can find full years for only around $6 + $7 or so for media mail shipping.
  20. Ok I feel stupid I even put my self on that map and I asked the question.... :(
  21. I cannot watch regular DVDs on my 360 any more. I have a rear projection HDTV and when I play a regular DVD and the TV switches to 480P the screen just gets all scrambled as if the TV does not support 480P. But playing games and HD DVDs is just fine. I'm not sure if it's the cord going to the TV or if the TV it self is to blame. Has anyone experienced this before?
  22. Just curious. I live right on the Mississippi on the Wisconsin side.
  23. Did you know that the US Final Fantasy II was toned down to make it easier for US gamers? But if you enjoyed it you might be happy to hear that it's being released on the DS but done in the same style as Final Fantasy III DS.
  24. Yeah I was suprised to hear that as well. I wonder if this will cause a delay in the US release.
  25. Man there are so many of them but the ones that really stick out other than the ones that were already mentioned would be. Clay Fighter Theme SNES Buck Bumble Theme N64 Tempo Theme 32X Big Blue Stage from F-Zero SNES I know this was somewhat mentioned but... Streets of Rage Title and several of the songs in game. Yuzo Koshiro is an amazing composer
