  1. I hate Ybor City. In the same thought process, I hate Nicki Minaj.

  2. I like Saga a lot more now on the second reading. I had no idea why it didn't grab me the first time, but I think I did the same thing with Y: The Last Man also.

  3. Getting all my hair chopped off. See profile picture for example.

  4. Oh, a follow up on my mail. Yeah, i don't have any neighbors. So whatever landscaping dude that was hanging out in front of my former neighbor's house totally stole the fuck out of my mail.

  5. Devs win. Bruins win. Lightning win. And the Rangers suck. I mean lost. Not a bad start to the season.

  6. Just found out that the package i lost last Saturday was delivered to my neighbor's house, under the presentation that 'Oh, they'd make sure i'd get it.', and then nothing.Well, when i get home, i'm going to make sure that they get it.

  7. I'm excited for hockey season to start tonight. If the Lightning were playing a real team, i'd have considered being there. Grouchy continues...

  8. Some dickhead with a lot of money was looking out for me, by buying the complete turtle van collection of TMNT cartoon from MovieStop before I could get back to it. It's probably better off this way, but still...

  9. Tonight, i think i'm gonna try and make a flyer and event for the Drink & Draw event i wanna have at the Mermaid. Maybe get some kind of drawing done--i've thought about a few more things that'd be cool to have for the show.

  10. After thinking about it, more sensible, affordable hotel reservations have been remade at the same hotel i was at for Megacon last year.

  11. I should have slept.

  12. I'm hoping with Steve Harris and a lot of the old crew on board, that EGM might be an entertaining magazine to read again. I was also completely jipped on a subscription attempt that resulted in recieving NO issues of what i paid for....but...for what it's worth, i'm willing to give it a shot--all my other mag subscriptions have run out anyway, so....why not?
  13. Hey, thanks for the praise!

  14. C:\Users\joerocks1981>exit.

  15. S.C.A.T. All Jokes aside, found it in a rom compilation after reading about it in a Nintendo Power, and for a side-scrolling shooter, it's awesome. the synthesized voice in the beginning kinda surprised me, too. Also, the Power Blade games and Shatterhand were awesome as well.
  16. i've already got it paid off through my local gamestop, and am very anxious to pick this up Tuesday, (or Monday night if they have a midnight release.) for the 360. And i'm getting the collector's, because i'm a sucker for getting anything that has an OST with it. (and i'll wear the headband out of the store, and promptly lose interest in it in a day or so.) i'm not even REALLY that great at street fighter, but i really do love playing it.
  17. 16 was the first issue of EGM i ever purchased with my own money. Seriously. a lot of fond memories of this issue. Please, please, please.
  18. Kotaku posted an article, saying that 1up.com is going to post their final Feb 2009 issue (ads and all) on their site. They have the SFIV cover up their now. And it's a sad chronicle in their last day. http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=897783...cUserId=4549175 I don't think it was written with it being their final issue in mind, and it is really sad that they missed the 20 year mark.
  19. http://kotaku.com/5124928/report-1up-sold-...on-egm-to-close Courtesy of Kotaku: What began as a rumour last month now seems to have escalated into full-blown fact; several sites, and sources, are reporting that Ziff Davis have sold the 1UP network to competitors Hearst. Hearst - who own UGO, many of the nation's biggest newspapers along with ownership stakes in ESPN and the History Channel - will however only be taking ownership of the network's online presence. According to sources at GameSetWatch, this means long-running print magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly won't be along for the ride (though What They Play, run by former 1UP man John Davison, say further details will be disclosed tomorrow). This will be the last month the magazine is published, bringing to an end nearly two decades of independent, influential games editorial. If this pans out - as seems likely - RIP, games magazines.
  20. Mario 2. And then 3. It wasn't until much later that i learned how to land that stupid jump in 8-2 in the original. YOU know the one.
  21. Hey there. I'm Joe, and am 27. My favorite systems are the Atari 2600, NES and SNES, and my hobbies are art, creating my webcomic, current gen and retro gen video games, and layout. My magazine of choice was Diehard Gamefan. I can't exactly think of a lot to say at the moment, but am a huge fan of Retromags, and look forward to participating in the forum a lot more often!
  22. Courtesy of Kotaku/Joystiq. According to a report on Joystiq, the UGO Entertainment Network - and yes, they still exist - are in talks with Ziff Davis with an eye towards purchasing the 1UP network. These talks are in a "very advanced" stage. The report claims that UGO plans to allow 1UP's websites (ie 1UP.com, Gamevideos) to operate independently, maintaining their own "separate entities with their own branding". Sadly for EGM fans, it's also claimed that UGO have no interest in Electronic Gaming Monthly, meaning that if this deal does take place, the end is nigh for the long-running magazine. http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/10/exclusiv...-not-part-of-d/
