  1. There was a third Unico movie planned but it was never made. He did appear in a tv special about the environment, though. I memorized the entirety of my Donkey kong Country 'movie' VHS tape as a kid and recited the whole thing whenever I watched it. I cna stll recit emost of it by heart XD
  2. My grandma had 2 VHS tapes she made for me that had, in no particular order, David the Gnome, the Care Bears movie, both Unico movies, and other miscellaneous adventures. I have fond memroies of watchign Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog on Toon Disney and changing the channel every time someone came in (I was embarrassed), caught the last 10 seconds of a Sonic SatAM episode, and wore out my Mario 3 VHS tapes from watching them so much. I also went through a phase where I judged every piece of music by how well it would work in a video game.
  3. When I was little I called the Nintendo Help Line to ask them to make a Kirby cartoon. I even sang a song.
  4. Half of my Virtual Console purchases are games I already have the cartridges for, I'm just too lazy to hook them up.
  5. This sounds really cool! I LOVED Hey You Pikachu as a kid and still do! I remember most of my time was spent fuitley trying to evolve Togepi XD
  6. This is, hands-down, THE dumbest thing I've ever done. I bought a cartridge copy of Shantae, brand new, when it first came out... And later either lost it, gave it away, or sold it to a store for being too hard. (The only reason I even beat the first dungeon was thanks to Nintendo Power #153.) At least I finally beat the game on Virtual Console.
  7. Either playing Mario 3 with mom, or being scared of Dr. Robotnik in Green Hill Zone.
  8. I've owned Lunar 2 since it came out and I still can't beat the final boss. Also I lost the real-life replica of Lucia's pendant :(
  9. I just got the airship in Final Fantasy 6! Currently I'm suffering from too-much-magicite problems since I kinda want everyone to learn everything ASAP. Also, I am the worst pilot ever. I read the tutorial and immediately forgot it so i spent the first 5 minutes trying to move and ended up going up and down, and when i figured out how to move and turn i spent the rest of it trying to land. The worst part is that the head of my party is Setzer, the guy who owns the ship.
  10. Got a gaming-related story that you're embarrassed about? Why not post it on the internet? I died to a random encounter in Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, widely considered one of the easiest RPGs ever made. And this was on a replay.
  11. I thought the restaurant Sonic was named after Sonic the Hedgehog. I tended to spoil my monsters in Monster Rancher because I felt bad about punishing them or working them. I very rarely made it past Rank C. When I played Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga I didn't know you could increase stats other than HP, so that was all I increased. I somehow made it to Bowser's Castle, but was never able to beat it.
  12. My first and only experience with a Gameshark was using it to get infinite coins in Wario Land II...Forgetting that your coins are tallied up at the end of every level and there's no way to skip it. I let it run until the batteries died.
  13. It took me until the third-last mission to realize I could buy something other than anti-air cannons in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom after capturing a city. (I failed a spot check and totally missed the arrow signs, and accidentally hit Up on the D-pad when checking a city out.) On the plus side, the fact that I managed to beat almost all of Yugi’s campaign without knowing how to activate those features is kinda cool.
  14. My earliest gaming memory is being terrified of Dr. Robotnik....In GREEN HILL ZONE. I think it was the music that set me off. On my first playthrough of Pokemon Red, I deleted Charizard's Flamethrower for Fire Spin. I used a P-Wing in the first Mario 3 fortress with the Boos because the Princess mentioned ghosts in her letter, and gave me the item, so I thought I had to use it where there were ghosts. Then I flew into a Thwomp. :(
  15. I'm definitely interested! I once bought a new copy of an older game because I couldn't find the manual anywhere online, and the new copies were the only ones listed that came with the mnual.
  16. I recently beat Yu-Gi-Oh: The Falsebound Kingdom! It was the first RTS game I ever played.
  17. Jellybeans and licorice are about the worst things in the world.
  18. I used an end-of-level code to get to the end of Bubble Bobble and STILL can't beat it. I have fond memories of shouting passwords to my friends as we tried, fruitlessly, to defeat then final boss. "D-D-F-F-I!"
  19. Awesome! My favorite NP ish ever is 140. It intoduced me to Robopon and Metal Walker! Emuparadise has some scans that you guys might not have, too. http://www.emuparadise.me/magazine-comic-guide-scans/magazines

  21. I spent years looking for a particular letter from an issue of Game Players (possibly from '93-early '95). Since I couldn't remember which issue or magazine it was, I decided to make a blog to post letters from video game maagzines in case anyone else ever had the same problem. When I ran out of magazines I actually owned in print, I turned to sites like these. ^^ Thanks! http://videogamemagazineletters.tumblr.com/
