Hekuta 4 Posted July 24, 2016 Super metroid is one of the best all around games from the mood the music and atmosphere to the gameplay. I used to put headphones on and just take my time with this one listening to the music.
RYNO 1 Posted August 27, 2016 I just recently did a run through of Metroid, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid: Zero Mission. The shocking thing was with the exception of Metroid itself, they all have really held up. I forgot just how much I loved Metroid 2. I really could go for another old school Side Scrolling Metroid again.
AlidarJarok 8 Posted August 28, 2016 I have never played Metroid 2. I missed a chance to get it back when I used to work at GameStop. Looks like I good game.
Guy In Rubber Suit 0 Posted September 7, 2016 Super Metroid is just a well designed game that few games of this genre can really match. Although despite how good it is I do prefer Metroid Prime over Super.
Raijin Z 22 Posted September 11, 2016 Imagine Super Metroid as "modern 2D Metroid v1". Zero Mission for GBA would be something like v1.5, and AM2R is like v1.8. I consider Prime to be a holy artifact, beyond comparison.
RetroDefense 166 Posted September 11, 2016 I consider Prime to be a holy artifact, beyond comparison. Indeed. Prime restored my faith in the Metroid franchise.
DPsx7 24 Posted September 11, 2016 Prime was good, and that's coming from someone who hates playing shooters with Analog sticks. I have the trilogy on the Wii in case I want to replay them. With that said, and the same goes for other franchises like Mario, Megaman, or Zelda, while the 3D versions were fun I'll always prefer the 2D style. tedart 3 Posted September 14, 2016 Like the above person, I don't even enjoy 1st person shooters, but Prime and it's sequals were such great games. They had great controls, even when transferred to the Wii. The 2-D games were great, too. Super is one of my favorites. Everything was right about that game.
