This is almost a 300 page mag (296 pgs), but there's one big difference from a similarly-sized American mag: Famitsu 1305: 296 pgs. 33 pages contain advertising EGM 88: 294 pgs. 147 pages contain advertising Famitsu: 11% ads EGM: 50% ads That's even more impressive when you consider that Famitsu produced this much non-advertising content on a weekly basis. And the Famitsu costs less than the EGM despite having (one would assume) significantly less ad revenue. Not that I'm knocking ads. Ads are fun. Just pointing out a difference.

  5. I've been in possession of a large number of GamesMaster mags which I have been slowly going through scanning and uploading to OldGameMags. Some of those existing scans by others there could have been better so that's also been an excuse to go through issues others have scanned to improve them, If I can I will try and provide my scans for this website.

Scanned by the Great and Wonderful J of Oz If you don't love at least a couple of the games in this mag, we grew up playing very different games from one another. The first feature article is about point-and-click adventures for crying out loud. I still have a flaming Max-head cap to this day... And would you believe I bought this mag right here in Japan?

  9. Heya, just wanted to give an update as things have been going on in the background. The issues mentioned earlier are currently on their way to @Gregorick as we speak - I leave them in the care of much more capable hands. As for the rest of the issues that've already been scanned - There's not much point scanning them again, but at the same time it seems like a waste to just throw the copies I have out. That's why I've been reaching out to a few organisations that may be interested in them instead. If everything goes well, they will be going to a deserving institution in the UK - I'll provide more news when that's confirmed.

  10. I only had two posts, both in this thread. I don’t usually post on boards anymore. I just asked that question as I figured they were yearly and that’s it. I only complain if I paid for something and it doesn’t arrive or is slow. If it’s free like this, I don’t because well, it’s free first of all and secondly, lots of people time and work gone into this (mine included as I was a lifetime member that forgot their login and long lost access to the email I used). So, yeah, hope you’re joking because I was merely trying to ask a question, nothing more.

  11. Last month, member CIVICMINDED contacted us on Facebook asking if we'd accept a magazine donation. A massive magazine donation, spurred on by me getting the Fujitsu scanner. The massive donation turned out to be 577 pounds of magazines; 12 boxes. Thousands of dollars worth of magazines donated to the site for scanning. There is some really good stuff here. The first seven pictures are just from the first box I opened. I have inventoried four boxes worth of magazines, which so far is 326 magazines. The last picture shows the four boxes and all the rest of the stuff that needs to be inventoried surrounding them. An insane donation on its own. But on top of that, CIVICMINDED paid the $1,200 freight shipping to ship them across the border to Canada where I live. Needless to say, insanely generous and insanely expensive. As such, we would like to start a small donation drive to help offset some of the cost that CIVICMINDED paid in shipping. So if you're able to help out by donating to help cover the shipping, even a bit, please do. UPDATE: Phillyman is sweetening the deal, for every $50 donated you will be entered in a chance to win either a Super NT or Mega SG console. Read more below -
