  1. I heard you fool I stopped once you voiced your complaints months ago.....I still have all the pages in a closet.....start compiling a list of what issues need what pages....and I will try to knock out some each weekend.
  2. Well said Meppi Most of the "Raw" scans are from me anyways, so there temporary removal should not offend anyone. We will try our best to get them back up as soon as possible. Thanks Phillyman
  3. I know what you are going to say.......FOR REAL! I also was totally duped by this breaking news today. It really sucks to find out that Crunch Berries contain no berries at all. Next someone will be telling me that there are no lucky charms in "Lucky Charms" cereal. http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfev..._should_hav.php
  4. An interesting story has popped up on the internet, People have noticed that the new set background for "The Tonite Show" with Conan O'Brien looks like it came straight out of the Mushroom Kingdom http://seriouslunch.blogspot.com/2009/06/c...uper-mario.html
  5. 1) EGM 2) GamePro 3) Nintendo Power 4) PSM 5) Gamefan 6) Game Informer 7) Next Generation 8) Official Dreamcast Magazine 9) Sega Visions 10) Game Players
  6. Back in October I started using Adbrite as a means to get Retromags a bit more money so that we can compete with bidders on Ebay for rare magazines. I made it so that guests would see the most advertisements, and then registered members would see less, and anyone with 25 posts would see none. Honestly over the past 8 months I have maybe made $27 off these ads. So I am removing the advertisements from Retromags!
  7. Welcome, one thing immediately jumps out at me......The Second issue of Gamepro? You own that? Any chance you would be willing to part with it? Or lend it to me for a week
  8. I heard Madworld was worth $30, so I take it that its a good deal for $20. I placed my order this morning, hope its worth it
  9. Both on sale at Bestbuy.com for $20 each Madworld $20 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218055362933 House of Dead Overkill $20 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218058487739
  10. Sent the following off to Maxconsole.net and Kotaku......
  11. Thought this was pretty funny from last night

  13. I always imagined they would jump back in on 9/9/09 I think that Panasonic should come back into the mix with the 3DO²
  14. You guys rock with these EG magazines
  15. Hmm I wonder if Kinko's will print me some cardboard boxes, then all I need is a heat shrink machine and cha-ching!!!!!!
  16. Yeah this is totally my fault, We were staying 5 years behind the current date......but that started pushing us into the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube era. So we made a change to not go past 1999. As such you will find posts around the forum that have not been edited yet, but our cut off is December 1999.
  17. Welcome TyronW! Take a look at the guide you have and make sure that its publication date is December 1999 or prior. If it meets that requirement, then by all means go ahead and scan a few sample pages for us to check out. As far as your status, if you scan the entire guide.....you will be bumped from Newbie to Team Member The Newbie tag is only there until you reach your 25th post. Its meant to be a motivator so that you participate in discussions or the project
  18. Yeah I gave up on VideoGame-Database, While the idea was nice.....the cost was going to kill me this month for the domain renewals...... videogame-database.com videogame-database.info videogame-database.org videogame-database.net videogame-archive.com videogame-archive.net videogame-archive.org videogame-archive.info Plus the fact that Retromags was expiring also.... Retromags.com Retromags.net Retromags.info The total from Godaddy was going to be $150, because I have the privacy filter on those domains also.......so I nixed the one site. I figure that if I really really want to get into creating a Video Game Wiki.....that I can implement it right into the Retromags wiki.....that way the indexed magazines can link directly to the games in question. Not sure if I want to do that yet....but it is a possibility in the future..
  19. When I was living with my parents in PA, I was with Comcast....had a 5mb/2mb. Then when I moved to Virginia....I went with Cox....and still have a 5mb/2mb but unlike Comcast with their 250GB cap....I have unlimited. Heck just backing up the download section of Retromags would eat 55GB!
  20. Payback Phillyman attacked Hidinger with a Mother of all Bombs (1976 str) and took off 2556! Hidinger has 0 HP left! Hidinger is now dead, therefore cannot counterattack!!!! You gain 216 frag(s) (215 stolen). You gain: 993 EXP points!!!! Sorry the level difference is greater than 50, no money gained or lost!!!!
  21. I ran the UG torrent and the Mininova torrents for months.....and it never seemed as though anyone else was seeding.....so I decided to look into other ways to distribute the files. To tell the truth, I really like Newsgroups and since a file uploaded can stay on there for 6+ months.....that may be a better way to go in the future. Its just not many people know about that. The members here are MORE then welcome to take items out of the Download section and post them up on Mininova. All I ask is that they dont change the files in ways such as downgrading quality or removing the Thank You page. If you want to upload 1 magazine to Mininova, or if you want to bundle 100 magazines together and upload them......its totally fine by us. Again I am not trying to profit off of these magazines, the donations go toward buying more magazines, as far as the distributing goes.....share them out over DC++, Newsgroups, P2P, FTP, etc.....its all good
  22. Explain how you landed that gem! Thats like posting a picture of Kate Beckinsale and just saying "I just hit this" We need details man!!!!!! Wait....did you win this????? http://cgi.ebay.com/33-Issues-Of-Electroni...93%3A1|294%3A50 or this.... http://cgi.ebay.com/Very-First-Electronic-...93%3A1|294%3A50
  23. Never really got into the original punch out, but I did like Super Punch Out......will pick up this new title when it gets to the $20-$30 range
