  1. Very nice collection, I will see what doubles I have laying around to help you get your collection complete. Any help on the scanning front is appriciated.....we are getting close to a complete digital collection
  2. Yea true, this is nothing new, didnt the NES or 2600 have this also?
  3. Hmmm good point on the 5 year mark, I would say this..... Right now it is June 27th 2008, As long as you are scanning a magazine that is not July 2003 to the Present. That would be my definition of 5 years. Now that is assuming that the publisher is no longer selling back issues of the magazine you are scanning also. Now as far as magazines no longer being produced period, Still go by the 5 year rule. Nothing beyond June 2003 at this point......as its not really RETRO per say
  4. Motherbrain keeps kicking my ass, which is soo weird because I don't remember having this much trouble with her last time I played ZM. I keep falling off the platform into the acid. I got frustrated and now play Space Invaders Extreme. Kraid and ridley gave me no trouble at all, I lit them fuckers up with missles and they were DONE! I dont even think the end boss, Metal Ridley gave me any trouble, as he was weak as anything also. Maybe I have to go back through the levels and collect some more Super Missles, I think I only have 6 right now.
  5. They need to do a Megaman game for the DS like how they did Castlevania and Metroid for the GBA.
  6. Yea I meant that .....I never could find a good source on what went down. I just summarize what I have read
  7. From what I heard the Playstation was suppose to be an addon for the SNES, But something fell through with Sony and Nintendo pulled out, but then Nintendo tried it with Phillips and again it fell through but this time Phillips had the rights to the Mario and Zelda franchises, and released there own games. I will have to find the list of the top 10 mistakes ever made in Gaming history, as those are on there.
  8. Thats good to hear, We can always use help in any way possible!
  9. Ok so over the weekend I started playing Space Invaders Extreme for the Nintendo DS. Now I grew up on these games......I had the Atari 2600 with Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Defender ....etc. I dont remember being into Space Invaders.....Asteroids was more of my game. Plus I loved games like Combat and Outlaw. So back to my point, This Game Rocks! The music is up tempo and keeps the adrenaline pumping, its probably one of the best remakes of a game I have ever seen. I highly suggest picking up this game for the DS or PSP if you have a chance to! You get different power ups in this version, Blue ones give you a big blue laser that can clear entire columns, Red ones give you exploding shots, and Green ones give you a spread laser. But just because you get an upgraded weapon does not mean you are going to find this game easy! I am stuck on Level 4 right now!
  10. Born in 79 , had a Atari 2600 first.....then moved onto a NES shortly after
