  1. Sadly this is probably a long ways off. At least for the Florida Disney (world) because Universal still owns the rights to a ton of great characters "as long as they use them for attractions" and stay east of the Mississippi. From my reading of the agreement, nothing really stops Disney (land) from making a ride...other then the fact they have been working on their new "Cars" land (with a wicked rollercoaster ride that is suppose to be revolutionary on many levels) for about 4 years. I highly doubt they are going to stop that to make a marvel ride. It would be INSANE to make a Marvel ride based on that technology though.
  2. I am normally up for a few games. I will try not to use my uber team...sadly I have been using them so long I am pretty poor with everyone else. Anyway. Add Hidinger to your PS3 account and invite me. I try to get on whenever I can. If you PM me with a specific time I can try and make it at that time (if I am not working)
  3. For a free web-browser, it isn't really that bad. I find that downloading some stuff is actually quicker on there. I think the 'real' reason Nintendo thought the browser was a good idea (and hence how it was made) was for online websites to have special Wii friendly versions and also Wiimote focused games. If you find some of teh Wiimote focused games the browser works really well.
  4. yells, HIT IT ROCKAPELLA!

  5. I have to agree with Gnash, the Bonks series was really good.
  6. Ugh. I was wondering when they were going to "force" me into buying the Original Final Fantasy for the third time.
  7. This is actually a really good call on Nintendo's part. I am glad they are doing the right thing and giving back to the people who didn't have a Wii early enough to get it free.
  8. I am with Thor on most of this. They are easier in general to finish. BUT in order to compensate for this, Team Mario normally tosses in a few "optional" levels or "stars/etc" for those that are looking for more of a challenge. If you two-manned Mario Galaxy (properly using the 2p controller) you can whiz right through the game in a matter of hours. If you try to do some of the bonus levels they are just flat out hard (even with 2p help). So in general they are crazy easy for what you HAVE to do, but still contain the difficulty level of SMB I level 8-3 (you know the part I am talking about with the crazy jumps required).
  9. Take this idea and make it a Combination Disney/Square game, make it an RPG, and you have yourself a game that will sell better then Kingdom Hearts.
  10. My guess is that the deal left all outstanding licenses in place. I can't imagine Marvel dropping the lease with Sega in a situation like this. I highly doubt any of the licenses will be renewed. Now -- MARVEL v. DISNEY II (because a title that epic skips the first one all together) EVERYONE has been waiting for this. Iron Man take a frying pan to the head from Minnie Mouse... But yes, I bet we can garuntee that Kingdom Hearts III will be a lot more interesting now.
  11. I was just thinking that it might be something I can get the wife into...and that is always a good thing.
  12. Off topic of the post, but no...it only appears on "Recent Discussions" if someone posts at least 1 reply. Until the first reply it will not show up on the Recent widget.
  13. Seriously...the New Topics should also appear in the "Recent Discussion" widget.
  14. VII was totally hyped...but for that one didn't the hype really start AFTER it was released. It was kind of wierd. It was almost like 3/4 of the universe had never played a Final Fantasy game before. I remember a little while after it came out, it was all you ever heard about. Even now (before the PSN release) the original discs were selling for crazy money on Ebay.
  15. http://forums.allgames.com/showthread.php?p=376594#post376594 Quote: Looks like the reports and retailer listings were accurate: LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition exists and it's coming to stores on September 8 for the same ol' $59.99 you can currently find the non-GOTY variant at. So what does your ... well, just your waiting get you above and beyond the existing release? Media Molecule has hand-picked 18 "extraordinary" level creators to each build a level "specifically for the GOTY edition." Not enough? Perhaps seven "packs" from the PlayStation Store – including the Metal Gear Solid Level Pack and Costumes Pack – would be enough to entice you? Says here that's "nearly a $30 value." Still not biting, eh? Lastly, a "limited supply" of LBP: GOTY discs will include a voucher granting you access to the ModNation Racers online beta, the next game in Sony's "Play, Create, Share" series. If you're still not convinced, we don't think the trailer after the break is going to change your mind, but we still think you should watch it. Sackboy ... he's just so cute. EDIT - Kotaku details the PSN packs that will be included. Quote: Metal Gear Solid Level Pack – featuring the "Paintinator" ($5.99*) Metal Gear Solid Costumes ($5.99*) Monsters Costumes ($2.99*) Monsters Pack ($3.99*) History Costumes ($2.99*) History Pack ($3.99*) Animals Costumes ($2.99*) LittleBigPlanet Re-Release Includes 18 New Levels, 7 DLC Packs Please Discuss - I waited to buy the original LBP (I rented it a couple of times). I just could not pull the trigger because a lot of the cool maps I wanted to play required either an animal costume or a MG:S costume. I guess I have ZERO excuses now since the GOTY edition has both of the great (used by a lot of level creators) packs. I do feel a little sorry for people who bought the original and have never gotten any of the DLC. Especialy when the GOTY edition gets a ton of DLC AND 18 new levels made specificly for this edition.
  16. In the Hidinger's Crusade to make manuals part of the game campaign, there would be no screen shots because that, again, takes you out of the mood that the game is setting. It would be like the first few pages of a book showing you how to read by giving you pictures of some dude reading the book you just bought. That would be retarded. Game manuals should be the same. They need to become part of the intro (7 layer code wheel not necessary)
  17. Manuals should be in the same format as the game they represent. There needs to be conformity between the game and the manual. If the game is set in a timeperiod where the only print media was in black and white...then the manual should be in black and white. If it is set in the future where it is in another language the manual should be in that language (and a translation for english/etc). I am tired of these games that have a cool storyline and then ruin it with a stupid screenshot / basic manual. Remember Star Tropics (I think) where the manual was actually required to get one of the codes needed in the game. We need more of that.
  18. This SHOULD be the solution... We have that silly Club Nintendo here. You get a ton of points and all you can really buy with them is the Game and Watch DS collection. Why not give use the option of all of the old school controllers that are 1) Wireless 2) for the Wii THAT would be an awesome use of coins and get people into the whole thing more. Nintendo...please read this.
  19. I do not know if this is considered a Genre, but I think that trully humerous games and AO (content not just gratuitous blood/nudity) are few and far between. I use to love it when games came out simply to BE funny. For instance, Clayfighter was a horrible fighting game, but something about a Chinese cook throwing a frying pan at an evil santa made me laugh every time. Conker's Bad Fur Day - a pretty descent platformer about a squirel and magical chocolate. Funny as just about anything. People need to make more games for the purpose of being funny.
  20. I allready have a pretty healthy book addiction. Barnes and Noble knows me. Not just the sales people, I am pretty sure the store itself recognizes me. It started with an interest in the Star Wars books and has since spread out to most fiction, non fiction, and now has spread into just about every corner of the store. I guess I have a rather wierd and eclictic taste when it comes to books. Problem is, I would get caught reading them during work. My boss doesn't care if I am messing with my phone, but if I stop work to read a few chapters of a book, that might get me in trouble
  21. The MCSA isn't really that bad as you have worked up all of the other classes by the time you get to it. None of the tests are really that hard (compared to some of the other exams out there like the Patent and Trademark Bar exam). If you actually do the reading, it should be an auto pass for you. You have some of the "harder" ones under your belt allready. Good luck!
  22. NOW my phone is totally broken and it will be a few days before Apple gets around to sending me a new one. Anyway, any more ideas while I wait for a replacement?
