  1. Good for you bro! I too am going to get back into an exercise program, I've lost all the weight that I wanted to over the past couple months but now I want to get fit. All the data you gather while trying to loose weight helps you be accountable, great to hear it's working out for you.
  2. I've got Nintendo Power and Game Informer. Retro Gamer is a great magazine but I've only got 3 issues (obviously due to the price).

Wow that is really cool! But I'm with Kiwi I'm not convinced of the quality.
  4. From what I understand that is the most recent torrent. Not many people even seed that torrent, you'd be better off just going to the download section and downloading the magazines that you need. Welcome to the forums!
  5. Wow that takes time. I've tried to do that before back during the Tapwave Zodiac days for Tony Hawks but I quickly lost interest it was too difficult. The only other time I tried this was for Golden Ax Warrior for SMS but you have taken this to a whole new level.
  6. My family has been transferred so I am moving yet again. It's crazy how often I've moved lately and in August I'll be moving again This time we are headed to Corpus Christi, out truck pulls out this Monday afternoon. I've always wanted to visit Corpus so now I get a chance to live there!
  7. I need to get my hands on those toys. Though Luigi is a bit buff. Same mistake they made with the newer Star Wars toys.
  8. I just bought oNe of those again recently! I loved the TG16.
  9. Wow that looks like a cool mag, never seen it before. Then again I don't live in the UK. Shipping on something like that would be crazy.
  10. Completely agree! I did enjoy Tekken up to the 2nd game but I loved Toshinden on the PSX.

    Newbie here.....

Well, welcome to the forums then. Many of us here are around the same age as you it seems I'm 32 myself and started gaming during the VCS age. As for gaming magazines Nintendo Power and EGM were my two main ones that I would get every month and I too parted with many of my old magazines back in the day and have now been trying to get them back. I gave most of my Nintendo Power to my brother and have since gotten them back from him and have been trying to get all the ones that I was missing from long ago. I love this site so I can get all those magazines in a digital format so I can keep my NP wrapped up in their protective sleves and this way all my NP can come with me via my iPad whenever and wherever I go. Again welcome and enjoy your stay!
  12. If I remember correctly it was a plain orange cover with a white sega swirl. Right now I don't know where my DC magazines are, I looked but couldn't find them.
  13. Well, according to his post anything older than a month is retro. I have a hard time even justifying the Dreamcast as being retro.
  14. Yeah, I hated the Alpha movies. Love SF II anime though.
  15. I'm happy to hear that someone was willing to do that to their collection because I could never bring myself to do that to my NP collection except for the doubles.
  16. It probably never got scanned. We get lots of people that drop by for a while and talk about scanning but never do it. It takes a lot of work so whren someone starts the will often quit doing it. If it's not in the strategy guide section the it probably was not uploaded. I'm not a banjo fan but the other requirement is it must be from the year 1999 or earlier.
  17. Well there was one year (1996) where they did the saddle stitch using staples. I hated that they did this it made the magazines come apart more easily. Well I hope phillyman drops by and sees this thread because I'd like his input. I've never run into this.
  18. So I now have all the 1989 issues of NP but 2 issues are different from the others. The early NP had a binding like a book where they were flat on the binding. 2 of my issues are bound by staples like many magazines are. I'm thinking they may be reprints. I know nintendo did a special where you could get the first 50 issues bit I just figured they were back stock. Today when I got these I thought well maybe they actually did a reprint of them. I hope I'm wrong but... chances are they are reprints. But on the NP topic I've now got my NP all on my iPad. Which is one of the main reasons I wanted an iPad so fun.

That would be cool. Imagine playing age of kings on something like that.

Yeah I wanted to wait for the windows based tablet but realizes at how little apps are out for my zune HD so I don't want to run into the same issue. As for multitasking that is coming on the next update.
  21. The IT guy at work bought it. I was in his office and he just opened his drawer and I saw it sitting there. Personally I was originally very excited but vie had a change of heart..

True but it looks so tacky. Just like an old 80's ghetto-blaster. I'd rather bring something that looks nice.
  23. WOW that looks way better than Sonic 4. I'm headed over to get the demo now.

LOL speaking of that. I saw in the JC Penney's catalog an 80's style boom box but where the tape deck should be there was a dock for an iPod. Really cool looking but... waste of money.
