  1. I was jokingly referring to your reviews of Famitsu and such where you point out some stuff and it critique it.
  2. Kind of half-disappointed there's no rant.
  3. Well, if you're gonna be a butt craftsman, never half-ass it.
  4. As you know since you lived in Japan so long, depiction of sexual penetration is banned by imperial decree which is why tentacle porn got invented, as a workaround. Plus, all I see is some lady thoroughly enjoying some butternut squash lolololol.
  5. I don't think anyone cares about the file size. 500MB isn't much nowadays.
  6. Trust me, learning Japanese lead me down some rabbit holes to say the least lol. When I went to Japan last year for the first time, I wasn't surprised by all the 18+ games and stuff in electronic areas like Akiba, etc because I expected it. I don't really think it is a big deal honestly though there probably are no doubt plenty of pearl clutchers.
  7. Although, there still is a Puritanical perspective on sex and nudity here, I don't know if that might be the reason why there are delayed downloads. Some people might just be late and/or that grabs their attention. RANT: I hate how anytime a small majority complains with their views on it, it affects gaming. Don't like nudity, here we'll cover it up. God forbid women can't show off their sex appeal. Don't like hitting any other than men, here we'll change the character to a different person. You still okay the overall murder and violence though? Those are just a few examples and it still pisses me off they had to do PR for it to please the shrieking ones. As long as it something like a video game and not actual people hurting anyone, if you don't like it, leave it be. They have to ruin it for everyone.
  8. It's pretty awesome much you have contributed to Japanese gaming magazine conservation. As someone who grew up around the time of golden Nintendo Power era, I always wondered what the Japanese magazines were like but didn't know a way to get them or they were probably way too expensive. Anyway, thanks for all you have done and hopefully will continue do so.
  9. All these 12 year old beer mags are making me thirsty lol.
  10. Good to see you back Kitsunebi. Was following you on archive.org in the meantime.
  11. As someone who mastered all the jobs on the PS version when it came out, it can most definitely go over 100 hours easily. The 3DS version has some QoL like reducing the amount needed for mastering jobs even though I haven't played that version. You can just play the original and cheat engine mastering jobs if you want to save time.
  12. This and the Dragon Quest VIII guide from Brady for the PS2 are probably the most infamous of the RPG guides. Mostly expanded instruction booklets.
  13. Thanks. Games on cover: Final Fight 2 Seiken Densetsu 2 Shining Force 2 Ys IV Shin Megami Tensei Street Fighter II Turbo
  14. Games on cover: Final Fantasy V Populous 2 Namcot Open
  15. Here to say thanks for Japanese books not uploaded anywhere else. No More Heroes one is nice. Thanks again.
  16. Yeah, my brother had this and the game when it first came out when we were kids. Classic to say the least. Still my favorite Zelda. Beaten several dozen times.
  17. Hot damn, three Famitsus in a row. Thanks.
  18. No, but I remember playing it a long time ago on an emulator. Pretty neat but never finished it. Started with the cowboy scenario. Ah, it's updated 2.5D. Interesting. Thanks for letting me know. I haven't had too much time for games lately.
  19. Some games released in the west are featured on the cover: Super Castlevania IV, Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past.
  20. I also had this one as well as the official Nintendo one. I remember this one being kind of big and little color but it did state likes and dislikes for each character and always was curious if it was official or not.
  21. Thanks. Always love classic Famitsu
