  1. I've begun scanning EGM 23. Hope to have it ready in a few days. I've got a lot going on the next two weeks, but I should have time to work on it here and there...also trying to play through Zelda: The Minish Cap. Just got back to the Wind Palace. This is where I quit playing back in 2004.
  2. I have the Official Nintendo Player's Guide (the black NES book), but I wrote in it when I was little. I also have Top Secret Passwords if that one is still needed. Currently, I'm working on EGM #23, but I can scan these after that if needed...
  3. I've never heard of the yellow ring of death. I didn't think PS3's were prone to dying like the 360....
  4. I agree about FPS and think that would be an obvious choice, but, I didn't choose Halo or Doom since I've never played either one. I confined my choices to games I have played and I picked Sonic. No matter how many times I try to play Sonic, I only get through 1 level or less before I turn it off. I don't know what it is, but i just can't sit and play Sonic.
  5. I'll start on 23 next then. For some reason, Megaupload gives me errors after uploading the file and Rapidshare doesn't want to start when I click upload. This is the most time consuming aspect right now...
  6. This is what I have: EGM I have everything except 1-8, 214-221, and 229. EGM2 1,36,40 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1998 Buyer's Guides SNES Buyer's Guide 1,15,16,26,27,29,37,38,39,41 Nintendo Power have everything except 43-48, 52, 53, 56, 57, 60, 64, 65, 67-72, 99, 103, 110, and 146-present issue Retro Gamer 5,6,8,9,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,22,24,27,34,38, and Anthology Vol 2 Video Game Collector 1-10 Official Nintendo Player's Guide (has writing in it) Top Secret Passwords FF7 guide Tomb Raider guide So far, I've finished the first SNES Buyer's guide. I think I'll stick to that right now. I don't believe I've seen those on anyone else's work in progress topic...if so, please let me know. I've also got a couple of EGM supplemental material I'll scan. Those are pretty small.
  7. I'm still working on every Zelda after Lttp. Gotten quite far in OoT, but haven't made it to the final level yet. Oh yeah, now that you've beaten it, what about the second quest?
  8. Super Mario Brothers - NES I remember beating all of them. Got so excited for Mario 3 that I beat it 6 days after I bought it. Could not stop playing that game.
  9. Ninja Gaiden is hard, but if you can make it to the end of the level with "Slash", every boss can be beaten with one or two strikes.
  10. EGM I have everything except 1-8, 15, and some 2008 issues. EGM2 1,36,40 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1998 Buyer's Guides SNES Buyer's Guide 1,15,16,26,27,29,37,38,39,41 Nintendo Power have everything except 43-48, 52, 53, 56, 57, 60, 64, 65, 67-72, 99, 103, 110, and 146-present issue Retro Gamer 5,6,8,9,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,22,24,27,34,38, and Anthology Vol 2 Video Game Collector 1-10 Official Nintendo Player's Guide (has writing in it) Top Secret Passwords FF7 guide Tomb Raider guide I've also got a ton of Wizard: The Comic magazine which had a video game section, and a few Heroes Illustrated that had a video game section. I think I have a few more guides, but they are at my Mom's house. So, what should I start with?
  11. Ninja Gaiden 3, Mega Man 1, and Contra were the hardest for me. I thought Tyson was tough as well in Punchout.
  12. Super Mario World. I was good at Street Fighter, but haven't played it in so long, I'd resort to the "hide in the corner" trick to extend a match.
  13. Born in '75. Had an Atari 5200 first. Blown away by the NES. SNES was great as well. PS1, N64, Dreamcast, were all ok. PS2 was good. The absolute best at the moment is the PSP. Not for those games, but because it plays NES, SNES, and other retro games so well.
  14. Final Fantasy III (SNES) Chrono Trigger (SNES) FF8 (PS1) FF7 (PS1) Those are the only ones I've played all the way through. I've got a bunch more, but haven't played them or have not gotten very far.
  15. I liked LTTP, but I would not rate it as my favorite Zelda game. It was good. I beat it back in the mid 90's, but it just didn't captivate me like the original did. I still breeze through the first quest on the original game every now and then. Here's my rankings: Legend of Zelda (NES) Link's Awakening (GB-GBC) LTTP (SNES) Ocarina of Time (N64) - still haven't beaten this one Minish Cap (GBA) - not beaten yet I have other Zelda's but haven't played them at all or not gotten very far. They include: Oracle of Ages/Seasons Majora's Mask (still sealed - never opened for the N64 and I bought it the day it came out) Twilight Princess (I've used the game quite a bit, but haven't played it much) Wind Waker
  16. I've read or am reading these: Harry Potter series Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin just about all of Michael Crichton's books just about all of Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's books I started reading the Wheel of Time, but got lost around book 4.
  17. I agree about being too much money. Some of the releases, I have 1 or even two copies of for other systems. Why buy it yet again just to enjoy on my Wii. This is why I will not buy games for the VC.
  18. Played a couple innings of Bases Loaded today at lunch.
  19. I'm only missing a handful of EGM issues. I can scan and contribute, but I've never scanned a magazine before. Only used a scanner twice... I've also got a boat-load of Nintendo Powers. I have a bunch of Wizard issues as well, but they only had a 1 or 2 page game section.
