Well, the series is only supposed to last for 5 seasons so it should be about half way through. As for what will happen, I really don't know. I think that Michael will definitely re-emerge and find redemption (the producers have hinted as much). I also think that it will be interesting when we start to see more about the people in the outside world who are hunting for the survivors and Desmond. Then there are things that make me wonder how they will possibly be explained like the monster and the four toed foot statue. One thing is certain: whatever happens, I will be watching :grin:

This is very true. My strongest attack takes off 1.4% of newsbot's HP. It would take an army of 50-70 users that are all over level 500 to take down newsbot. (Never gonna happen.)

Also, (this may go without saying but I'll say it anyway) make sure that your computer case doesn't have a lot of dust clogging the vents. Whenever my machine starts to get nosier I find that cleaning it out helps. If the vents are clogged then the fan has to work a lot harder to pull in air and the result is more noise.

One of the machines that I was originally running on was a 6 year old PC with a 933 mhz Pentium III processor and 384 MB RAM. It finished a WU in about 5 days but it might have been slowing it down a bit so I had to stop running F@H on that one. BTW: We are past 10,000 in the rankings now. (9,961 of 57,060) :grin:

I'm running on 7 PCs. One at home and 6 at school. (I was running on 9 but two of those were low end and needed all the resources that they could get.) I manage a research lab that has several PCs that only get used for a few hours a day. All of these machines have single core Pentium 4 processors that range from 2.8-3.0 Ghz and have from 256 MB to 2.25 GB of RAM. I'd feel like I was a bad person and that I'm cheating but it's for a good cause.

Not to be a braggart, but I am totally dominating on this. As of this post: MBJ: 37; Phillyman: 6. My big question is: Where is everyone else? Don't you want to help cure cancer, Alzheimer's etc? It seriously has little to no impact on PC performance and you and your offspring will be doing yourself a favor in the long run as you may actually be able to benefit from this project in the future. Plus, it's fun to compete. In case any of you have a PS3, that console will now run Folding@Home and it is supposed to process the work units MUCH faster than standard PCs.

I was just wondering if anyone here is planning to pick up the upcoming Pokemon game. I never played any of these outside of the original (Red/Blue) and the GBA remake (Fire Red). As usual, the marketing is starting to make me feel tempted.

I voted for Doom. I watched it thinking "this movie will have no plot, terrible acting, bad dialogue, but awesome special effects. Time for some eye candy!" Unfortunately, I was wrong about that. The special effects sucked.

I never much cared for war games. In fact, the only FPS games I ever really enjoyed were Goldeneye and Turok on the N64.

I am a graduate student working toward my Ph.D. in Social Psychology. I do research (currently studying the effect of sexual arousal on risk-taking) and I teach college courses (currently teaching Intro to Psychology and teaching Personality Psych in the Fall). I should get my Ph.D. in another 2 or 3 years if all goes according to plan.

Lately I have been drinking plain carbonated water. I know it's really weird but it's very refreshing. Now regular soda tastes too sweet and syrupy to me.

Thanks for your offer to help out meppi! I honestly don't have time to scan or edit myself but I try to help where I can which is seeding and financial contributions. I have a pretty decent connection (90 kbps up in uTorrent (Comcast advertises 768 k up but I understand that there are notation issues)) with no limit (in theory) so I am constantly seeding. I seed more at google than the public trackers because it is more satisfying to have it added to my ratio and know that seeds are more likely to stick around but I do try to keep the public ones seeded when I can. Anyway, nice to have you on board!

I've heard that they have a way to work this out. You can send your system in for repair and if they can't fix it then they give you another console with the same system ID number so that you will be able to re-download all of the games that you have purchased without paying again. In Cicnird's case though I would hope that there would be a simpler workaround that could be done without console shipping.

Then I'd suggest calling customer service. Nintendo is known for having great service so they should be able to help you out.

Try unplugging the Wii from the wall completely and then plugging it back in. You can also try removing the batteries from the remotes and putting them back in. Also, try pressing the sync buttons on both the console and the remotes. I have had the same problem before and these various steps have helped.
