Prime was good, and that's coming from someone who hates playing shooters with analog sticks. I have the trilogy on the Wii in case I want to replay them. With that said, and the same goes for other franchises like Mario, Megaman, or Zelda, while the 3D versions were fun I'll always prefer the 2D style.

Do you have a spreadsheet program like Excel? That's the only thing that comes to mind. I should do something like that myself but it would take longer than I'm willing to put into it. The backlog won't go away on its own.

I'm going to go ahead and say no. I know PC's aren't as expensive as some make them to be but in the long run they cost more than consoles. I don't care to upgrade every couple years. It's stupid. Turn down the graphics, the game will play the same. PC also sort of discarded discs which is a big mistake. I prefer that physical copy and most times it's cheaper than buying digital. Speaking of digital, malware like Steam has ruined the PC as a gaming platform. I want to put in a game and know it'll work. Not DL something for 3 hours or have invasive software phoning home, hogging bandwidth, and not letting me play offline. I've sworn off playing Valve games after that disaster with HL2. No I don't plan on buying these mid-gen systems. One purchase is enough. The library is the same. Nothing will be Neo exclusive from what I hear. Paying to play online is stupid of course but they give out games every month which evens it out.

I didn't know where the scans came from. And maybe I mentioned the site when someone followed up with 'I wish someone did this for Gamepro". That's the internet for ya. It's a great resource as long as you use Adblock and sift through the 80% crap to find the good stuff. I do actually. I mean the box looks normal, I can type stuff and get a loading animation at the top when I click shout. Nothing ever appears in the box. I have it whitelisted in Adblock so that isn't it.

You sure you didn't just tuck them away so we didn't get a lot of unwanted attention? Heh. So here's a comment. My shouts just disappear. I came here last week to see if you knew about the NP archive. Then wrote another when I heard they were borrowed from the site. Now I'm here a third time because I also noticed things were missing and evidently nothing ever appeared in the shout box list. Let's see if this works at least.

Not really. Consoles aren't that cheap to just buy several and leave them hanging around. It's hard to consider games as an investment because you never know what the value will do. I was certainly surprised to see retro jump so high. A lot of my earliest systems were garage sale finds so boxes weren't included. My NES box on the other hand turned into a garage sale sign so many years ago. Who knew? Back then old boxes were junk. That's the only one though. Everything else I've gotten new I've kept complete. Thankfully there's a huge market for retro gaming and supplies meaning replacement parts aren't impossible to find. Pre-CD consoles are pretty reliable so they shouldn't need a lot.

Have it but would have to find it. Hate to admit I lost a lot of covers since I was always reading those comics.

Speaking of FF, I had a terrible habit in RPG's. I checked EVERYTHING. I would scour towns looking in cans, boxes, clocks, whatever could hold items. Why? I didn't want to leave useful things behind. So I too would have a stockpile of items but at least I wasn't afraid to use them in a pinch. The reason I remember it is because I was on the porch one day and some neighborhood friends wandered over to do stuff. Obviously I needed to find a save point before I could quit so they watched a while. Then asked what was taking so long. I had not wandered off into a new dungeon or anything.

Forget the baby, I want this collection. Ha. I could listen to this stuff for years, so many memorable games and songs. Then when you tire of the originals (as if) there are remixes out the wazoo. Piano, Mario Paint, metal versions, the links above with the music box were a first.

Obviously I've played everything I own. The only consoles I can recall using that I DON'T have would be a Game.com my cousin owned and a TG16 at the house of someone my parents were friends with. I've seen a Lynx, Master System, and Vectrex but neither own nor played. Anything outside of those doesn't interest me enough, either as an import, something obscure, or a system with too few games.

I'm not terribly interested in either choice. I suppose we'd argue over who gets to be Pinky and who gets to be Brain. You can figure out what comes next.

30 sets are bad? When is it time to make sure there isn't something else wrong?

Found 12 more issues today. Along with those I found issues of GI going back to #190. Surprised I've been subbing that long. I really need to get rid of some of these stacks...

You and me both. I have at least 6-8 of those Adventure books. Several book tip guides (if I don't have that copy of Hot Games I have something close), and other magazine style guides too.
