  1. I indeed bought some more black construction paper, as I didn't want to wait for my wife to get me some free taxpayer subsidized construction paper from her school. (They have nice thick black large sized sheets though) I also bought a paper cutter. It's not a nice 100 pound model with Jason Vorhees machete attached though, it's a small plastic on for office and craft tasks that I can use for making nice cuts when removing covers from the binding, or whatever other magazine cutting I need to do. If that doesn't suffice I still have my craft xcaxto knife and a ruler. But the paper cutter is easier to align a straight line with. I just like this thread to talk about anything scan related. And what I'm working on etc. Also I've been editing all week. I'm going to try to set a minimum of 10 pages a day editing. Obviously more if nessesary. I'm already behind 10 pages because one day I had absolutely no time to go on the computer. But setting a goal should hopefully keep things moving so I can get a mag out every 2 weeks at least. On my off days I can talkie much more pages. Hopefully will have that Game Buyer #1 up with a few days. Game buyer actually is a pretty interesting magazine. They have some nice layouts for FF7 and Tekken, and their screenshots and reviews look real nice. The interesting part of these magazines is they switch up the paper stock for the tricks section to non glossy cheap recycled paper.
  2. Target Earth may be the hardest game I ever played.
  3. Ok it was on the list. I would question SOR 3, Gaires, and Ghouls and Ghosts inclusion. But the rest is pretty solid. He knows his hard Genesis games.
  4. In before I read it. But Target Earth better be on that list.
  5. Sure , try looking at the reviews in various magazines in the info section for the game. Until later on, they can be somewhat nebulous. But as release dates became more pinned down to a day in the mid 90's they will often give a day of release.
  6. Man if I ever get brought my EGM and donated pile expeditiously I'll volunteer to scan some of those!
  7. Was about to start bulk scanning today but I just noticed today when my wife cleaned up my computer desk last month she threw away my black construction paper I had cut out for backing when I scan to prevent bleed through. Guess I'll have to hold off till I get some replacement black paper.
  8. You know I would consider it, but so far, for whatever reason I've only come across the problem with orange. As long as I can correct it for that color it'll be all right. But it could be a case of I haven't come across any other fluorescent colors yet. The other time was with a Taito subscription card for their newsletter or something. They come out looking light pink.
  9. Man that cover was a pain in the ass. I had some label glue residue, and my scanner didn't like the fluorescent orange again. Painstakingly edited the glue residue out. If you zoom on super close you can tell it's edited put full page view it's unnoticeable. For the orange, I used the color selection tool to select the color. Deselected any colors that were not in the oar get, entering on the cover. Then replaced color I. The selection. It's pain finding the exact same orange replacement color in Photoshop. But I got pretty damn close. I'd say I spent at least an two hours on that cover. The rest should be fast though. Debinding with the heat gun went very quickly with no problems.
  10. When I was in Japan in 1995 and 1997, and 1999, used games stores were abundant. Also there were plenty of mail order and Internet businesses in the 90's that sold used games from Japan.
  11. I need to Chang it up for a bit. And clear out some donated issues. So next up is Game Buyer #1. Since Phillyman is scanning all those Game Player's, I thought I'd do one from the successor of its successor.
  12. You wanna scan that for me to add into my scan of EGM 32? I'll do the editing.
  13. Oh man I can't wait. I've been waiting for this issue forever as it is one of my most treasured childhood issues. I had a notification on eBay for this but never saw it come up. I'm so glad your finally doing it. I've said this elsewhere but for me, Iv'e found anything over 50 or so pages is hard to get a good bound scan on. That's kind of my limit. So early EGM's I've done it no problem. Later ones I took out the staples.
  14. If anyone wants to download the EGM Neo Geo supplement and tack it onto their scan they can. It says it came bundled in the issue on the database page. But it's not really edited. And I don't have another good source that it came with this issue, so I didn't include it in the scan. You can check it out here. https://www.retromags.com/magazines/category/usa/electronic-gaming-monthly/electronic-gaming-monthly-supplements/electronic-gaming-monthly-issue-032-neo-geo-supplement#.V8U5Nnhpah8

  17. I wish! Your never gonna see that on eBay.
  18. There a some. The case usually is we don't have scans of all the covers in high enough resolution. But I have been actively trying to get all the covers for the stuff I'm scanning.
  19. The Player One Podcast also has mentioned you guys a few times over the years on the podcast, and of course recently.
  20. I guess my recommendation would be if something is not scanned on here. The simple thing to do is hang onto it till its scanned and compare to the print issue. If you really wanted collaborate you could get with the person who is going to scan it and compare notes on the issue as far is what is included between the two issues. I did that with an issue of EGM that VGbouncehouse had, issue 65 I believe because I had a really complete and pristine issue. And was able to fill in the missing content he didn't have in his issue. But, that does require a lot of work and patience. It also helped he posted his progress on his website so I could compare images.
  21. Keep those EGM's coming ! I know we will eventually need them! (And I'll eventually not have to scan those.)
  22. So for real I actually got back to editing today. Right after my last post my Ancestry.com DNA test came in. And was working for a week or two on building a family tree. And my car broke down and had to shop for a new car. But ya made some progress on my editing today.
  23. Just an update. Going to go back to working on EGM 32 on Monday. So all summer my son has been out of schools and we've had vacation and I had a work trip. Basically no free time alone to work on it with so much going on. But my son goes back to school on Monday and I'll have time to finish this up. Currently maybe 1/3 of the way done editing. Hope to have it out by next Friday maybe? Then Inshould be able to start cranking these out again full time this Fall. Slither IO also has definetly sapped my free time as well as as Pokemon GO.
