Man, A nice Startropic remake would be pretty awesome. Especially if it didn't require you to spill water on your manual to get a required code.... a real Kirby remake woudl be awesome too (not that silly air-ride stuff). But, Smash Brothers with like 90 characters would also be awesome.

I think a lot of people will see it that way. I mean, I have been there since the dawn of the Nintendo (I was so excited the year I got a Nintendo for Christmas I opened it up, threw up, then had to go back to bed because I was sooooo sick from waiting to open it. (Yeah, I was and still am the King of all Dorks...and Nerds now that I think of it). Anyway, I digress. Yes, I love the old Red logo, but at least they just changed the color of it. I don't see how Red or Grey are either more "adult" friendly or more friendly towards any group. I just think they changed it because NOW their money maker is the Wii and they have "Wii" written in Grey. Because of that Nintendo (logo) Wii will look better in all Grey. Now Nintendo is more Synonomus with the Wii by both being in Grey. Just a guess on my part. Just seems like Red Nintendo Logo and Grey Wii sign would be kinda wierd looking.

LoL. I will take you at your word and not ask for proof on that claim! P.S. Did you ever use Gamespots gallery option where you tell it what games you have and it tells you how much you have spent over the years? I almost broke down in tears when I saw how much I have spent (or had spent on me) for video games during my lifetime. It was so much it hurt...not bad enough to keep me from buying a PS3..but it did hurt all the same.

Is awesome the one with the Balloons? It was a LOT easier if you got a blue yoshi and grabbed a shell...Once you figured out that you could spit the shell out then catch it on the way down that level became a piece of cake. It was rather difficult if you did it the balloon way....even if you knew the right path. I would have to say upon further review that Awesome! might be almost if not tied with Yoshi Races.

What was the hardest part of any Mario branded game that you have played? For me it is without a doubt the Yoshi Races in Mario RPG. I don't know if it requires a hand with only 4 fingers or what, but it was just insane hard to beat all of those races. The first one was easy, but the difficulty ramped up faster then....well, it ramped up really fast. What about everyone else?

LOL I couldn't put it better myself. QED

I am not so sure you can keep your RetroGaming card if you can't recognize a retro game giant like Tecmo Super Bowl. I am going to shrug it off to it being doctored up a bit and that is why it threw you! I remember getting a Genesis and being like WTF is a Master System? Lucky for me they made a Master System adaptor for the Genesis so I could play awesome games like Altered Beast (Looking back I am not sure why I liked that game so much. I can beat it on one life.)

Here is what I found at Home. Star Wars Rogue Leader (RS II) Goldeneye Top Secret Passwords Pokemon Stadium I Mortal Kombat II StarFox 64 If you guys need any, let me know where I have to send it and the best way that I can send them. I would like them back, but if someone from the site is wanting to purchase them just say so as I know we could work something out.

Rent it. If it used the new WiiMote 2.0 it would probably be much better. It doesn't really allow you to play the instrument like the instrument is played. Not only do you look like a fool but it is just a way of playing Samba De Amigo and look retarded at the same time. It is all rhytum and nothing else. A great idea, just poor implementation. Rent it and if you like it you can put in the higher investment. I was underwhelmed by it as a whole sadly.

The purest collector in me (the one that "HAS" to catch them all) says no. Any changes would destroy the collectability of them. I mean it would be like getting the old Nintendo Powers without the poster that doubles as a map. Something that we all know and remember loving. I mean come on, some of those old adds for games long forgotten are part of the nestalgia of the whole thing. the part of me that wants to relive my past and video games past would say not to worry about it if it means that the magazine itself will come back. Ugh. Guess I am totally bi-polar on this one. Again, I think it is an awesome idea...but it just seems to be so expensive that you would need someone who had a half million to blow for the fun of it (Not expecting a profit). That way you could work and try to find a way that could eventually bring a revenue stream. Have you contacted Bill Gates and asked him for a grant or something?

Do you know if they have that for NES games. Some place that has the designs I could maybe print onto a sticker? I have a bunch of old NES games I bought used really cheap. Sadly the covers were ripped off of them for some unknown reason. I think they should continue that project to do all different kinds, including NES games. I wonder what the rules are on copyright and trademark infringement. Seems like they are walking a very fine line there.

I agree with you, and I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. I think something like that would be a great opportunity. I just think that people are slipping into the gamefaqs fanboyism so fast that spending over half a million dollars in this economy would end up hurting in the long run. There are just way too many of those stupid fanboys anymore. People use to get magazines because they had awesome pictures and updates on games that they might not see or hear about again until their release date. Now, you can get stuff instantly. I am jealous of anyone who has even an opportunity to get a magazine of their own. I would love to see a good solid game mag make a comeback. I would gladly write some articles for you and even do actual honest reviews of stuff. I just wanted to stress the point that the main group (men age 10 - 25) are getting increasingly lazy and demanding (possibly stupider) to the point that print magazines for games just don't come out fast enough or follow their personal opinions close enough. The best part would be having access to all of the historical files they have. But again, I don't know if the magazine has such a fan base to make up for that kind of cash output. He-Man action figures are trying to make a comback on less then 625,000 and they have a massive and loyal fan base. They aren't even sure they are going to be able to make it. While it would be awesome, I just don't want to see you or the investors get in trouble because it is an awesome idea.

I am not musicaly inclined..which is funny because my wife is a music performer....but anyway. I think Guitar Hero is a good way to start and work up to a full on Rock Band kind of thing. For some reason I always found Guitar Hero more New User Friendly. I think it is great to get the taste for something bigger and more complex, like Rock Band. I agree with you that Rock Band is superior, but I do see a segment of the community for both. Sadly I am soooo bad at music games like that I can barley handle Wii Music I couldn't carry a tune with a bucket, and, well, someone to carry the bucket for me.

Dood! Stop being teh h8ter and wake up and realize that my review of Uncharted 2 and why is sux so hard is OVER 9000 times greater then joo or joor stupid magazine that is just paid by sony to write a review that is "epic" so the stupid people will buy it. I am not stupid. I am smarter then all o fyou. THAT is the kind of crap people would rather read then a well thought out article in a magazine. I kinda just pieced that together from a bunch of different gamefaqs posts, but still. Seriously though. People would rather read a quick article online then bitch about / sing praises of a game before it even comes out. Everyone wants to put their two cents in and show how they are better / more correct then everyone else. I just don't think you can make a hard copy magazine sell without a HUGE following...you would need an almost cult like following to do it. Face it. Nintendo Power is riding on being a first party mag with a long running history. If they shut their doors for 2 years then came back out with the mag it would tank sooooo freaking hard.

I totally agree with you, I can't even explain how excited I got at the beginning of every month knowing my copy of Nintendo Power would be in the mail any day. I use to get in trouble taking it to school the next day. There was something about flipping each page and seeing something new and awesome that really excited me. But sadly now we are in the age of Instant Gratification. If the masses can not have something gratifying and instantaniously they don't want it. People would throw a fit if you told them that they had to wait an entire month to get all of the new information.

Perfect for those people who use roms on their handhelds.....
-
Well, it would be nice to be able to take charge and make NEW issues...but still...over half a million is definently not worth it in my opinion. There just isn't enough old stuff and enough name recognition for the new stuff to warrant that kind of input. Unless you have a half million to blow (or your investors) then I would say that it would take forever to get your moneys worth. P.S. Make sure you have a good lawyer look over any and all of your paperwork before you sign anything. Some of these copyright/trademark/contract law issues can get rather complicated.
-
The site is totally screwed right now. Ever since yesterday it has been pitching a fit. It has told me my registration token is bad like 8 out of 10 times...the other 2 times it lets me in only to boot me if I click on anything. I don't think Nintendo was prepared for the tsunami of sign ups.

I guess technically Game and Watch should make it on there since it was the forebearer of the Gameboy. Not to mention I think the Virtual Boy controller should have a better angle. You totally can not tell that it requires like 30 AA batteries UNDER the controller to make it work.
-
I love how they shrunk down the size of the original xbox controller and it still makes the hands look tiny. What were they thinking. Seriously...That thing was mammoth. Yes, I mean the original xbox controller. One would have to have hands like Shaq to hold the Original Xbox controller and be able to use it properly.

I hate to be cynical but I am still running off my lifetime subscription and I can't see how anyone would pay for it :( I remember back in the glory days of the first 100 issues when it at least resembled something reasonable. Now NP not only seems to be about 2 issues behind the other magazines but keeps giving scores like 9.2 to games like Barbie meets My Little Ponys Cooking Adventure (I made that up, but you all know that they would totally give that a 9.2 or higher). They need to bring back the "high scores" section. Or even better yet, they could start handing out the Nintendo Power Wings (Gold and Silver) for people who achieve high scores, etc. I know that is more difficult now with all of the "Cheat devices" but still, maybe they could have people send in videos of their games so that everyone would know they were legit. I don't know...they need something to inject some life into that magazine quick. Perhaps I am just getting spoiled by the interweb but still.

I found this late last night when I couldn't sleep and though I would share it with everyone. I think everyone who has ever been through (or at least began) college knows someone like this. http://www.collegehumor.com/article:1730017

Yeah, and I mean that was cool water so we are talking about it pretty much being a gift for her more then anyone.

Yeah..They were "going for something" with the last couple of episodes of Evangelion. But if you get the movie, I believe it is called "End of Evangelion" it not only explains a lot of things but is quite fun at the same time. In general, they re-did the last two episodes into an action packed movie. I don't even watch the last two episodes anymore, I just jump straight from the final angel episode to the movie. You should get the movie if you haven't seen it.

all of the above or a Lamborghini Diablo in Aspen Blue (1 of 500) or world peace FIXED. Now you either get the games, a pimped out ride, or the true humanitarian award of World Peace (Doesn't seem likley since our current president can not even get through a press conference without someone throwing footwear at him). NOW the games actually sound like the better option Enjoy your awesome Christmas. EDIT: Bleach is sooo much better (like at least 50x better) in subtitle then in the English version. If you like Bleach you should also check out one of my personal favorites Neongenesis Evangelion and Yu Yu Hakusho. Both can be found at www.sphiatt.com for extremely cheap price. In my opinion Neongenesis is the best anime of all time. You have to watch it a few times to truly understand everything. Yu Yu Hakusho is just a lot of fun.
